Heat Up Your Barbeque - It's Summer! |

OK, folks. I've decided to share a recipe of my own invention with you. It's a sure-fire pleaser and guaranteed original! I call it "Albuquerque Oriental Shish Kebob." Anyone can make it - it's easy!
Take some cubes of beef and marinate them in Teriyaki sauce, with a light sprinkle of Oriental Five Spices on top. (Well, I always turn the meat while I'm marinating, so it gets worked in.) Marinate for a couple hours to overnight.
Alternate your meat on skewers with Vidalia onion pieces and red pepper (always placing these next to the meat). Mushrooms, small tomatoes optional.
When you barbeque these babies, be sure to use MESQUITE on your charcoal (or, if it's a gas grill, on the lava rocks). It's best to soak the mesquite before putting them on the fire to make it last longer. When you cook, having a lid over the grill is best.
Serve your shish kebob over rice (personal preference is Near East Rice Pilaf). For a bit of class, also serve a nice red wine - fruity is usually best.
This stuff will make your tongue tingle!
Any other good barbeque recipes to share?
