knife play

I had mentioned an interest in Knife play in another thread. Knife play is deserving of a thread of its own. Knives are erotic.

Don;t know why, but even a hunting knife strikes me as being harmless as a butter knife when I am blindfolded. So how does a gal ask her man to to step it up a notch, make it "edgier" to feel the thrill of danger, without actually drawing blood or losing a nipple or anything?

Ok I don’t get into this as much as some folks do.
I have no desire to be cut.
As for the edge of danger I could understand the appeal of that.
I enjoy having my clothing cut away from me that turns me on. The feel of the cold steel of the knife on my skin before the fabric is ripped asunder is very Hot.

We did an experiment last night...

Serrated knives feel scarier really point bread knives do to if you get poked...

I screamed like a girl though when she turned on an electric craving knife near my groin....

I'm taking the blade off my chainsaw tomorrow!

Ok, now that I have time. I will post a couple links to have a little read over afterwards. And a link to a book, as well.

But for me...I dont do Blood Play. So obviously I dont do cutting. Now just for myself , the trick is to make my sub THINK I just might, though..
This can be accomplished in a variety of ways, however the one I consider best of all is the "Mind Fuck." At one time, I would just go along my way, and any "instruments of doom" I happened to come across, I would pick up, usually for very little cost. We're talking about all sorts of evil looking blades, slicers, dicers...I even picked up an antique scalpel at a yard sale someplace.

So....my scenes would start with tying or shackling my sub securely, then carrying in this big old tray covered in a cloth...her watching my every move as I would carefully clean and inspect every piece, like a surgeon, taking my time...maybe even "test" a couple on cloth or paper...a lot of them WERE razor sharp...all business and quiet seriousness...

After a little time spent there...then slowly blindfold her...after that....busy myself with some metallic sounds and assorted noises...all nice and slow, letting her mind work overtime....the mind is by far the best thing to work with. It most definitely run away with itself, given room....and after all that, now...ya just DONT know what I am going to use, do do you....*Wicked Smile*

Truth is, I never used half of the stuff. But before it was over, she swore I used every piece I had....

And when I take a shortsword out of the freezer, and run it slowly down your back...after all that preparation....It's anyone's guess what it feels like....
*Sly Wink*

I read a long long time ago, in some medical article...that sex is 90% mental. I took that to heart, and at least for me...it is. Play with the mind ( in a good way ) and the results are staggering....

So...that is some of my results.

Here's a book available for purchase on the subject:
Guide to Erotic Knifeplay

And a website with assorted resources for things of a BDSM nature, including knifeplay, or course:

Albany Power Exchange

Hope that at least gives you a starting point.

thanks!

I took note of this bit of advice on the Albany Power Exchange...

You want to keep this edge razor sharp, or rather dull. Either or, as befits your level of experience. The most dangerous knives are those that are a "little" sharp. These are unpredictable. They cut sometimes, but not others, depending on the texture of the skin. Sharp always cuts. Dull never will. Choose either and be sure of the situation.

There is definitely some interesting insight there. I will forward that sweet little link and hope that I don;t regret it!

And freezing your.. what did you call it.. a short sword? Yikes . Making an already wicked weapon even colder.. mmmm

Yes, like I said in the other thread, "dulled" can sometimes work well. And a large blade that has been in the freezer feels very similar to actually being cut...

I've used a knife playing around with my gf. While roughhousing, if she starts to get so defiant, I'll pick up a knife I have and force her against the wall, or onto the bed and put it against her neck and threaten her. I'm always very careful to make sure the blade isn't too against her skin to cut her, especially if it's on her throat. Sometimes, I even put my finger between her neck and the knife for safety. It still thrills her alot to be "in danger" like that when we are roleplaying. Once the knife's out, usually she becomes obediant

Blindfold her, put her against the wall, then switch out the knife you let her see before blindfolding her....for a plastic one....

Then you can apply much more pressure and technique. DO still be careful, even plastic can scratch or cut.

Would love to hear the results.

This is getting interesting. Need to go read that book.

Taking notes for later. Never know when they'll come in handy.

Meh, I couldn't use a plastic knife. I like to use as much realism in the roleplaying as much as I can.

was out shopping. I kept finding myself in the housewares sections looking at shiny sharp things, evaluating size , weight, the "scare factor" both in term of visual scariness and feel (for when you aren;t allowed to see),

that wasn't what I was out shopping for. LOL.

now everywhere I go I will be looking at knives.

Common occurrence for me to get wood in Home Depot, visualizing all sorts of things that were actually designed for FAR different uses than I have in mind...

Damn my inventive mind and healthy, although perverted imaginations...
