I think we need to come to an agreement of sorts up here in the forums. I mean I like frivolities as much or more than anyone else. I know everyone is just having fun, and I am loath to bring this up. Over the past year however there have been several attempts to bring the idea of topics back into the forums. Topics other than cyber-sexapoloooza. I know I’m no angel about highjacking threads but…
Once people became interested in the forums, I changed tactics a bit… See when I was a thread jacker the forums were dead and there were so few members it was easy to be a jacker without hurting feelings.
My lose code of ethics was something like this…
I never (or almost never or tried to never)
Highjacked a new serious post
Never attempted to keep a thread off topic for more than a couple of comments, let alone dozens of pages.
I created the silly threads for fun in “general” only
I added to the serious discussions with thoughtful answers.
I highjacked old threads normally just to rekindle interest people in worthy topics
I created serious and discussion worthy threads.
If an old topics reappeared, I did not immediately high jack it but attempted to participate again in the topic.
I think a happy medium can be attained to help make the forums not only fun, but informative as well, like they used to be…
I’m asking for people’s help with this, so hopefully the site can grow and surpass the heights we once enjoyed with so many people participating in so many levels…

So what should be done about thread cleaning?
I mean, I don't care that much, but shouldn't favorite movie be moved to the Movies, Books, etc. category. From what I gather the "Powers that Be", haven't hired a cleaning lady in years...

ASpiring I don't care where the topics go, or if there is some jacking... I think the forums lack courtesy lately.
We got ten thousand different threads... they all end with..
"come here let me spank you"
You don't need the whole forum to do that certainly?

Alot of it is that the "forum rules" have been incognito for a long time...at least they were when I first signed up and for a long time after. I guess now you can read them...

why does that have to be directed at you? I'm just saying, the forum rules were unavailable for a long time, and I just noticed they could be read now...

i got a rule i use for myself..........play but stay..........play a little but stay on the topic.........i never jack anybody's thread.........i don't think anyway........  serious threads should stay serious........playful ones stay that way..........
