winter started here at the beginning of the month, wild wind storm last night got clocked at 128 km/hr though our area.
blew out a 6 ft square plate glass window in my carport . 
been roads closed from snow already statewide and that doesn't usually happen til at least september

out off the wild west coast of tasmania they have whats called a wave rider bouy that measures ocean swell.
the other night it registered a 60 ft ! high wave rolling in
can you imagine sitting out there in your 50 ft crayfishing boat and looking out the wheelhouse window seeing that coming towards you 
on a lighter note, surfers are living it up down south at shipsterns point

i know some of the cray fishermen on the west coast, i asked one of them one day, how do you get the nerve to go out of rough days ?
he shrugged and said, i tie down my craypots on the deck and lock myself in the wheel house and away i go .
