today my neighbors pits, decided too kill a bull snake and leave it on my front porch (minus the head) right where i would step on it when i walked out my front door.
any one else have any messed up stories about either their or some one elses dog?

Pitbulls are great dogs.
Punish the deed not the breed maaaan.
My Dobermann killed my Cockatiel, I THINK.
Or the cat killed it, and the Dog ate it's mangled body, I went out the next morning and only found pieces of poor Snowy.
And no, I didn't name it.

don't get my wrong i love em both too death, i was just shocked too see that on my porch.
why do you say that is a gift from them lusty, could you please explain in more detail?

Thanks for asking me to explain instead of just jumping all over the post. :)
The reason I say it's a "gift" is because in a dog's world and mind, to bring someone they love a present (despite how disgusting it might be to us) is the ultimate sign of respect and love. These dogs obviously love you as much as you love them. Or they wanted to play and that's what they would do in the wild. Either way no offense was intended. They are trying to "bond" with you lol
Pretty similar to why cats will bring dead rodents etc to it's owner.

i have noticed that the dogs will come too me, but the neighbor has a hard time getting them too come too him.
i believe those 2 have adopted me, i even hear them howling when my neighbor puts them up in his house for the night.
now the female i have noticed doesn't like too leave my side, the male just follows here. (kinda like in the human world huh?)

Dogs are pretty smart creatures Winter. I suspect that the "owner" isn't viewed as the "Alpha" in their world. Being the "Alpha" doesn't mean you have to be overly assertive or physically cruel to the animal but it does mean they'll "obey' you and any commands you give them. That's the pecking order in the animal kingdom and it's also part of understanding the mentality of the animal. Something people fail to do when they take on the responsibility of owning an animal.
Often times when owners have a great deal of trouble with their animals, it's because they haven't established this with them.  Again, for the sake of clarifying, abuse or cruelty to establish control isn't necessary but a strong, firm constency is.  Very similar to raising children.
They respect the "Alpha" and will tolerate the owner LOL and this certainly seems to be the case.
Which also says a volumes about you as a person.

thanks for the compliment lusty, i do know some about the whole alpha thing.
i used too train retired greyhounds, wich was pretty cool.
when i get on too the dogs i always use a firm voice, that way they know when they are in trouble.
or the ol look em in the eyes and make them turn away trick

Pitbull Sexually Attacks 2-Year-Old
Lockport, New York (WGRZ-TV) - Lockport Police received a 911 call from a frantic City of Lockport mother Sunday afternoon.
The mother told Lockport Police that she left her two-year-old unattended for a short time and after hearing the baby scream, she ran to see what was wrong.
When she got in the room, she told Lockport Police the dog had sodomized the toddler. The mother screamed, scaring the dog and it ran out of the house.
One neighbor told WGRZ-TV in Buffalo that she heard the mother screaming "the dog is raping my baby." Neighbors ran to help, but only one man was able to get the dog and child apart.
Anastacio Castillo says "I tried to get the dog away from the baby, the dog was already inside the baby." When the baby was finally free, he was visibly sick.
The baby was rushed to Women and Children's Hospital where the toddler underwent reconstructive surgery.
The dog is being held at the Niagara County SPCA for evalution. An animal behavior specialist is scheduled to evaluate the pitbull.
The Niagara County District Attorney's office is assisting Lockport Police with the investigation.
Miranda Workman, behavior specialist at Purrfect Paws in Amherst says, "Most likely this is not a learned behavior. Dogs in tact, not spayed or neutered have a higher hormonal drive."

I didn't need to know that. Really.
Only reason it's such a big deal is because a pitbull did it.
If it had been a Lab or a Chihuahua it would have been called cute.
