Being single sucks ass. I have the same fear. I love being in love and having someone special in my life. SIngle people should get free drinks in bars on Valentines day.

I had a dream once that I was dying and the only thought in my head was that I cant die, I havent found my soulmate yet. I undrstand the difference between being single and being alone. Just keep your head up, usually they come when you least expect.

Yeah, I've got to agree...at times being single can really suck! However, it also has certain advantages!
Now as for being alone...I think it's something everyone dreads or fears. However, at the same time...I'd much rather be alone and lonely, than to be with someone just to be with someone...so I'm not alone.
As I would rather be alone, than to be with someone and still feel alone and being lonely inside. I know, as I've been there once or twice!
Which is why I don't "FALL" for ANY WOMAN after only a few weeks or months...as I think it takes time! I no longer RUSH into a relationship after a few weeks or months just to be with someone...as I said...you can be with someone and still feel alone and lonely.

Being single is great,,,,,You come and go as you please at all times,,,,You only have to clean up after yourself,,,when you feel like it.....You buy and eat what you want,,,no one to argue with you....You watch what you want on tv without someone asking for the remote...You masterbate,,,and clean up your own mess and not your partners too....

Lena, you've brough up some very good points on living the single life...however, I feel you can have all of those things even when you're living with someone.
I've always believed in 3 things when in a relationship...
My life, her life, and our lives...if you're not able to give your partner his or her life, while he or she gives you the same respect...well, I don't think there is much of a chance at having the 'OUR LIVES' part!

Ahhhhh, I see what'cha talkin' bout now...and yeah, I've been told that a few times...I tend to at times over explain things...but it keeps peoples thinking and guessing...

I know exactly what you mean, I get that too. Plus, when people talk to me I'm thinking about what their saying and they end up wondering what I'm looking at coz I just keep looking at them. Ah duh...I'm absorbing what you've just said. My kids hate that about me and it drives adults nuts. They think I'm off in no-where land but in reality I'm all about them at the moment.

Yes, you're right Lena...see it's like this...I remember while growing up how my father would always come home and he'd bitch and complain about work all the damn time...and my mother just hated it! Now don't get me wrong, she didn't mind now and then a little bit...but not every night...
And I seen how much she hated it every day...and I guess that's why I developed the attitude about not bringing my work home with me...and as for my not bringing my home life to work with me...well, that simply is NOT anyone's business!
Now I realise I'm a pretty open book, not only thru chats, emails, and even in public on AMD about me and my personal life...as I am sort of a personal person...However, I'd rather have people hear about me from me, than to hear bullshit from others...
Therefore, I have never had a problem telling anything and everything about myself...however, no one else has the right to do so!

Being single can be trying at times, but sometimes I actually enjoy it. Now if I could get my kid out of the house I'd enjoy it more. I might be a little lonely at times, but at least I'd have some privacy. lol Oh, and it's not like she's really a kid.......she's 24 and has a kid of her own.
