My father began teaching me how to drive when I was around 8. Would sit next to him and stear. Plady, the first thing I learned was to always know and anticipate what is going on 3-5 or more vehicles in front of you, and behind you. Plady, try this, because you may find that you would be able to just follow that truck into the next lane.
Driving peeve: people who do not drive 10-15 mph OVER the posted limit on county and state roads.
Driving peeve: people who use their turn signals in designated turning lanes.

Yeah, in NY there is a real problem with vehicles with florida plates. But now I can see why if they are used to having to follow what a sign says.
Florida must be so authoritarian like that cause no one fights for common sense down there. Sensitive society or what?
Sorry Red, tailgating up here means your telling the person in front of you to "wake up and go." Most of the time people appreciate me snaping then out of their day dreaming. But again, if florida cops are busting people for 2 mph over the posted limit, I could see where that causes conflict for everyone. What a fucked up state.

Pet Peeves: Tailgating while going 80 mph in the driving rain, and *never* using a turn signal, but expecting others to do so!
(Habits of my spouse, of course. . )

Most Floriduh traffic laws are written because of the influx of dumb northern snowbirds who migrate her every year.. Just tryin' to make 'em feel at home

Then why do we keep the laws when they all go home??? Not like the legislature has anything better to do than pass more stupid traffic laws while we pay them - heaven forbid they do something about the home owners insurance premiums going up 200% or property taxes...

The ones that have their left turn signal on for the past 2-3 miles and just when you decide they don't know it's on and go to pass them they start to turn.
