Long, long time ago..Used to rather peaceful back in the early 70's..
Big Resort destination for the Jet Set
Especially the beaches and niteclubs on the Northside, where it's still mostly christian ppl
It's still a nice place to go..
Check it out..There are several videos , I think on youtube, showing the ppl and stuff.

I found while traveling that if you know a language having it screamed at you at 100 wpm and having a gun waved in your face makes you forget every word you know. LOL And that was for just accidently stepping on the grass. He was screaming get off the grass in Spanish and I wasn't about to move once I saw a gun. Damn good thing I didn't jaywalk. The people I was visiting showed up and translated and I got off the grass. After that they did not let me out of their sight.

Yeah those Panamanian police didn't mess around back then. My friends said that only I could go for a walk in the park and get into that much trouble by accident. I think the police dude was getting just a little frustrated. All he would have needed to do was slow down a little and stop yelling and I would have understood what he was saying.
