Do the "Winks" mean anything to you? |

I mean really, why send a wink? Do they MEAN anything and do you pay any attention to them?
If someone can't even take the time to send you an email, why would you pay attention to a wink only?

A wink is telling you that the person thinks you are cute and if you are interested reply back I guess. Why waste time with a mail if the person won't bother to respond back. It's just a quicker way of getting things done.

I'll send a wink, later, after a few emails, just as a quick, "Hi, thinking about you."
Occasionally I will respond to a wink if there is anything in the profile that gets my attention. Usually I find that the ones that send winks also have little or nothing in their profile so I just let them go.

Winks are an unending source of hilarity. Simply click through on a few and see how wildly off they are on reading skills, for 99.9% of them never figured out how to read your profile. and that .1% is mostly? Well, they're mostly from far away countries (geographically or mentally).

It is pretty clear the intent here is to turn the site into a for profite site, the winks will be the "free" emails, a wink will = "are you a paying member and can email me"

umm nope winks n mail are free..so is the IM program here..much diff the other sites....

Aww Shells they just have special rules for you.. actually if you want to IM someone don't try it from your friends dropdown.. it tells you you gotta pay.. but if you go to their page and hit it from there..
Winks.. I used to think they were just a waste of space. Til I realized some of the people who were winking were just a touch too shy to start a conversation in case you should reject them outright.
Not to say some of them don't get rejected outright..

If I get bored I wink at all new users, because I mean it's just like a nod, or a wave.... I made some guys mad, but ya know what, they either got over it or quit crying.

I will repeat what I said, it is clear the INTENT is to turn this into a for profit site. It already is designed to funnel people to for profit sites, and if you want to turn off the ad's for a fee they'll do that for you.

And I get accused of going off topic. Under old format, you got a five day free trial all the mail you could send (up to seix or seven a day) I'm not sure they had winks, if they did nobody used them, you only had five days to tag and bag.
This place has the clear intent to go free, like a myspace selling ad space because we have the coolest peeps....
If you don't think I'm cool take this tube of wet-lite here a big ole jelly vibe.. fill in the rest!
