(10) Don't be hankerin' for yer buddy's stuff Now that's kinda plain an' simple don't ya think? Y'all have a good Day. Ya hear now ? "THE EYES OF TEXAS ARE UPON YOU"

Cool beans, jmemmons! I just realized that my paternal grandmother had been making jalapeno jelly since the 60's (the best there was), so I don't think it originated in Lake Jackson.

Can Texas secede from the union US Constitution
This question was pretty much answered by the Civil War. No state is allowed to secede from the Union. If they try, it is considered treason and rebellion, and the US government is allowed to prohibit it by force.
However, when Texas entered the union before the Civil War, it did so by treaty that allowed it to divide into as many as 5 states. That provision has not been repealed. Texas has never tried to do this. It would be interesting to see what would happen if they tried.
We can Divide into 5 states but we cannot secede from the union,

HA HA HA not true either... My late husband was arrested back in the 80's with this kind of thinking and spent the night in jail, he had a gun strapped to his hip like the old cowboys did while he was fishing, something he never did again...
