What's in it for the safety person?
Unfortunately not a lot in it for the control, he or she has to keep their wits about them and be ready to step in and end something that could get out of hand. Next time though, the safety person gets his/her turn and someone else gets the job.
That's an unfortunate sign of the times I guess.. free love.. no such thing.
