Mutual attraction  followed by
Doing fun stuff together  combined with
Trust building and mutual respect 
Then lots of FANTASTIC sex 
and so on.............
Is that really too much to expect

Yes, all of those things, sure...
but for me, the idea of a good relationship is, first and foremost, integrity, loyalty, faithfulness, and trustworthiness.
Without that, there is no "relationship," as far as I'm concerned.
Second to that is both parties' willingness to work hard toward a common goal as partners, no matter what that goal may be.
Third is really liking your mate as a person, having a great deal of respect for them and admiring their traits and qualities and being genuinely happy to be with each other and being proud to be with each other in social settings.
Fourth is willingness to stand by your partner's side in good times and in bad.
You know, stuff like that.

I definately have to start with an attraction = half-ways good lookin' (doesn't have to be beautiful...it's in the heart & mind where it really counts), makes me laugh, gentle-man, you know, all that stuff. Then we have to do the "hang-out" as friends thing for a while to see if we actually get along and have things in common. After that, if feelings are starting to build, THAT'S when sex comes in...NOT BEFORE!! I don't fuck just to fuck...it's gotta go deeper then that!!

I'm with shells on this one! I have to feel some sort of chemistry with the guy if I'm going to fuck him.
I don't think I've ever had a "good relationship" so I'm not sure what one is like. But I think it would involve some of the following:
Chemistry
Fun
Honesty
More Fun
Lots of good sex
More fun
and....
lots more good sex.......

we meet . then go out with each other . after that . next IF she says " I want sex " that is up to her . I may say " can I get lucky tonight " A good relationship to me is one , that the two ARE TALKING . not one . BUT BOTH . we go places . everyone sees us . after the attraction , the sex , NOW , what is it she wants is what try to give . NO I had a woman who only wanted money .

I feel young
but in my years I had a few relationships that I view as successful and meaningful that lasted for a number of years. They were based off of trust, no hidden secrets, adequate space, and a similar view and outlook together towards the future. It seems like when everything clicks that person becomes my best friend and I become theirs and thats the point of satisfaction to me
