What's up wid dat? My brother's 46. His wife (his third wife, I might add) is 29. No one bats an eyelash. Im 49. If I married a 30ish man? Ha! I'd never live it down. My family (and others) woudl think that I had lost my mind or something.
Yet another in the list of double standards. Not that I'd want to marry a 30 y/o man, mind you. But just making a point.

Well . . in defense of what is ' Intended ' . .
Very few Younger women need a chemical dependency to be in a good mood . .
Younger women are considerably more Athletic, Energetic and Playful, in General
Younger women only have 10 or 15 years worth of clothes and shoes to decide from . .
. . etcetera . . etcetera . . etcetera . .
I'd have No Problem, at all with getting Attached to a younger . . Mature Lady !!
{I'll leave it at that, for now, and avoid a 6 paragraph dissertation . .  !! }
I don't think that 'Preferring' a younger woman is something to demean a man for ..
I wouldn't chase a lady much younger than 35 . .
I may be in competition with my Son . . who likes O L D E R Women . . !!!

Yeah I agree ... it's yet another double standard from good ol' society. Women on average have a longer lifespan than men, so I would think, at least from a purely biological standpoint, younger man older women couplings should make more sense than vice versa.

I don't think age differences are a big deal. But I think lots of people look badly on men who are with younger women too. I can't count the number of people who have critisized Tom Cruise for marrying Katie Holmes. Don't sweat about it lol. Lots of people ar tiny minded maggots.

That's not the point of the thread, the point is in the double standard. Although it is accepted much more now than it used to be, the woman/man December/May relationship is still ridiculed by society, pretty much.
Personally, I don't date men older than I am. They are generally not appealing to me whatsoever. However, even though I date younger men, 10 years younger, give or take, is about my limit.
I don't think that 'Preferring' a younger woman is something to demean a man for ..
Again, has nothing to do with my thread. Wasn't talking about preferences.
My sister has a theory that makes as much sense as anything. There is still this mindset, somewhat, of the man assuming a patriarchial role, of leaving Daddy" so her husband can "take care of her." Even more evidenced in the ridiculous antiquated vows that state "Do you promise to obey...?" That's a knee-slapper, all right.

some men feel the need to reassure themselves that they still "got it" i guess.........now don't get me wrong if a 20 or 30 something year old showed up at my door and said let's get naked.......it would take about 10 seconds.........but i don't chase younger women.........i just chase women in general.........age has little to do with it..........things and thoughts that you have in common play more of a role than age..........my 2 cents........

In my case a younger woman might be more similar to me in terms of experience. Problem is that your average 15 year old has more experience than I do. Dating them could get me into a bit of trouble.

Smart move. I mean, why would you even want a 15-year-old kid (KID) in the first place????
I mean, hell, we've all got something in common, in terms of experience, with someone younger than us, because we've all lived through the same things they have. Seems to me the smart thing would be to get someone who knows what they're doing who can show you what needs to be done.
Would you have booked passage on an ocean liner named RMS Titanic set sail on ITS maiden voyage if you had known the disaster that was about to occur? I think NOT!
Get involved with a 15 year old and not only will your boat sink, but your big smokestacks will topple over as well. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

My gf Jess is about 10 years younger than me. I was not purposely looking for a "younger" woman; but now that I reflect upon my relationship with Jess,I can see and understand why some women would prefer an "older" man.

Yeah, there ARE thousands of women laughing at men who date/marry young women. But you know what, it's part of "Men's Mid-Life Crisis". It actually makes them look stupid. Oh yeah, guys joke around about having a younger chick because between THEM they think it's really something.
