Tell us about your best date.
Mine was when i was dating my second wife, i went to a local lake by her house and set up my tent and sleeping bags. It was October and a cold night. A bit after dark she showed up and we spent the night in front of the fire, wraped up in the sleeping bags facing the fire with her in my arms. We layed there talking most of the night. I was living in San Diego at the time (have since moved to Georgia). My best date was supposed to be just a "coffee meet" (I don't even drink coffee so I suggested my favorite juice bar instead). It was a beautiful Friday afternoon. We talked, we laughed, we reminisced about our childhoods, shared thoughts on everything from politics to cartoons to vacations. By then it was nearing dinnertime so we hit up a local sushi bar that he suggested (I was sooooooooo happy I actually found someone who enjoys sushi as much as I do). Next thing I knew, it was Sunday and we were on the second day of an annual jazz and blues festival up the coast (he had bought tickets months before hoping he would meet someone of interest to take by that time). Kept me smiling the entire 2-1/2 days together. No sex here either... but we knew it was definitely something we wanted to share when the time was right. And when it was right, it was FANTASTIC.

My best date ever started when I was 16 years old,,,,I met a Lieutant I use to work with at Castle Air Force Base,,,He would drive me home everyday,,,I worked after school from 4-10 pm,,,he would work everyday late just to stay with me and we enjoyed each others company,,,,I was very mature for my age and we carried on good conversation,,,He enjoyed driving me home even though it was probably 7 miles out of his way,,,,and continued to do so up until my 18th Birthday,,,he was a Major by then and Much older than I,,,He took me to Carmel for breakfast at the Hog Breathe Inn,,,Clint Eastwood's Restraunt,,,,We drove down the 18 Mile Drive looking at all the rich people's houses...Went to the Ocean and played in the water him kissing me and carrying me in circles and dipping my feet into the water...We had dinner at the Wool Growers Inn in Los Banos on the way home,,,,We laughed and enjoyed each others company sooo much..He then said I was of age and continued he had fallen in love with me and that is why he tried protecting me,,,by staying with me and driving me home....We continued our relationship without ever having sex,,,,He got orders to NY and I denied him the honor of becoming his wife....I still think of him to this date..A very caring man.....That was my best date ever,,,it lasted awhile didn't it.....

oh hell mine was my second date with my ex, we went to a friends house for a birthday party and he was just sooo sweet, he waited on me and everytime he went to get another drink he'd kiss me when he left and then kissed me again when he came back. He was so attentive and just so damn sweet that I fell in love with him that night and decided right then and there he was the man I was going to marry, and six months later we were married.
