In looking at profiles, I note that there are three choices in the "seeking". 1. Men 2. Women and 3. Both. (It would be funny if there were a "Seeking neither", who would that person be looking for? an alligator? ) It is my opinion that most on this site are looking for something meaningful and permanent. Not all, but most. This site offers not only the "camping, fishing, remodeling, family and friends are my interests, but, since most of us have found that "perfect in so many ways” but they just don’t have our sexual perspective! type person in our past relationships, they give, love and would rather have sex once a month type attitude, so we look here on AMD. I am not talking about she who wants a baseball bat shoved up her butt while some other guy drips lemon juice in her eyes as he turns up the voltage on the wires attached to her nipples as the neighbor's Orangutan masturbates her husband to Barry Manilove tunes, I’m talking about the majority of those on here. So, my fellow adults, if one is Monogamous and IN a relationship, they can't be bi-sexual. In order to commit to one and one only, they have to shed one allegiance or the other. So, maybe there should be an "Either" for the monogamous, and a "both for those who choose to have an "open lifestyle" or simply want to cheat on their significant other, in which case their significant other wouldn’t be that significant. I would be interested in your thoughts,

I can't agree with that.
Even if you're heterosexual or homosexual, and only like one gender sexually, that doesnt mean that you're any more or less likely to be monogamous to the person you are with.
If you're bisexual, then you are attracted to both male and female, and you can't switch that off at will. You are also just as likely to be monogamous as every other straight person.
for example, I am a straight male, I am with my girlfriend, but there are countless millions of other girls. Am I any more or less likely to cheat if I liked men as well?

There is absolutely NO reason why one can't be bisexual and have a monogamous relationship if one desires. Generally bisexuals are not 50/50 but really are on a sexual continuum where they have a preference for one sex or the other and when one falls in LOVE with a sexual partner, one can often decide to forgo those other desires for the stability of that marriage or that union if and when it becomes necessary. The partners decide that within that marriage or union. It really isn't so difficult or terrible when it's the couple's decision.

I can speak for myself being a bi-female, I am monogamous to my signifcant other who is male, but knows that I also like women. It's all about personal choice and whether or not you can commit to one person.

I can also give my opinion here being bisexual myself and totaly monogamous. Jdtallfem is 100% correct in her assesment I myself prefer men but am not closed to a relationship with a woman. But being bisexual doesn't automatically make you a slut I must have feelings first before I even consider being sexual with anyone of any sex. I am amazed at how many people here think being bisexual means you will jump into bed with just anyone. I also get emails from older couples in farm country thinking I will leave my home in manhattan to move in with them as a third person in thier relationship amazing how closed mindedeness abounds.

And how is that being closed minded? Because they don't agree with you? Everyone is perfect as long as they agree with little ol me. Sorry sunshine.. not so much.
