the last time ANY new photos were approved was August 22. A common complaint. Usually takes 2-3 weeks to get anything approved.

By the time your photo is approved you'll be sick of the site and cancel anyway.

I don't think there has been a new female photo approved since the middle of august. Too bad.

For me, it's simple. It's against the rules. If I am seen online, on such a site, I get a butt chewing that would make the worst DI seem like a pussy cat. Today, all jobs are getting more and more intrusive into people's lives, and the government isn't do anything less.

Also, I had a friend who met a woman online. He had a photo posted on the site and her ex, actually a one-night-stand, knew she was seeing him. He got online, found my friend's photo, and then set him up. Since he knew what my friend looked like, it was easy to wait until he showed up, grab him, and then KILL him. Yes, my friend died because of a dating site and a hookup. He was beaten to death because he met a girl who attracted a psychopath. The girl didn't fair much better, beaten and raped.

Another guy, who was gay, posted a photo online and some local homophobes saw it. They signed up, impersonated another gay, and lured him to a meeting. The boy just did survive a beating to recover and testify. None-the-less, he had to move as everyone found out he was gay.

Now, granted, this is just "from work," but... If you aren't careful on these sites, you can get into a lot of "interesting" situations. If you aren't careful with your name/handle, or whatever you call it, along with your photo, town, and some "harmless" info, you can be tracked down. A simple lie, like "this is my sister, who I haven't seen for years, do you know her?," can lead a nutcase to someone with ease. After all, this is what the police, governments, PIs, and others do for a living.

It's just not safe. It's bad enough that the person you are talking to is likely to use and abuse you, but...
