You get an e-mail from someone in or near your town and things go well until she tells you that she is not in your city but out of the country on assignment as a model.and the country you find out she is in is someplace in africa.truth is this is really a guy with a female picture (she) will tell you the local banks will not cash her checks and will as if (she) can send it to you and have you cash it and send her half and you keep the rest for later.Point is the check is a BIG FAKE>BOGUS,RUBBER>>>and you will be resposible for it since you cashed it at your bank.
So BEWARE , all of you and if things seem all to real its probably a guy mame believing to be female..
Or something close to this...

There are also some (they claim to be female/male) who are really out of country and have some sort of sob story and want you to send them YOUR cash!

I might do a blog on this but will ask here....I have been getting mail from a 20 something year old girl...this is a red flag in itself...no 20 something would be interested in me in real life normally  But I have learned to age semi gracefully  Anyway, she wants me to cancel all accounts with dating sites ( including AMD) so " we can now get to know each other better because I have had trouble with people playing games in the past blah blah blah...". I will keep writing her to see if I get a request for money. The pics are not the normal obvious model pics...she is very cute but taken at home somewhere..but I think a scam...has anyone run into this tactic before...it is a new one and I noticed a couple scammers on a different site did basically the same thing....only they wanted to know what other sites I was on....so they could "see my pictures"...these guys that write these things are not very bright...what real woman we have met here would say something like that???? Anyway any experiences with this and their reasoning would be appreciated....I am pretty bright but don't get the reasoning there...unless she is real and just mentally unstable...which would explain her writing to me...

Some people are here to tease, some are here to play games, some are here only to make new friends and some are here seriously wanting to meet members of the opposite sex for one reason or another.
I have had several men telling me to go to another site to see their pics, others asking me for my e-mail address to send me pics. When I see that a "RED LIGHT" goes off telling me this could possibly be a scam. If they can't post a pic in their profile then they are deleted immediatly. The way the world is now there's not a snowballs chance in hell i'm going to take the risk of giving any information that will help the trace to exactly where I am.
Younger people pretending to want older people just doesn't sound right. I'm sure it's possible but not realistic

Thanks very much Brenda...Yes I agree with you and it is interesting that men will do that also. I have not heard of that before although I am pretty new at all this. I did see scam and also am not nearly egotistical enough to believe a young girl would want a man my age...although it could happen I suppose. Besides I like the women in my age group...we are very fortunate to have such beautiful women and who actually understand what we are talking about  My experience with 20ish women in my own life, especially working on my mural crews, is that they are nice, polite...and can't get away from me fast enough and look for "real" men I was just curious what the strategy was there....I deleted her anyway so I guess it doesn't ,matter. Thanks again for the insight

The problem goes much worse and deeper...
We have a few members here using false profiles to attack other members.... others actually string the love lorn along through the site then text and phone calls etc... but never intend to do more... I don't mean they are playing tricks on the horny and their heads... they are screwing with people's hearts.
