About myself
The opening line is because I have been told quite a bit that I am just like Brian, the dog on the show Family Guy.
Anyway, just trying this out and seeing who I can meet. I like to meet new people, particularly in strange ways. Not sure how to explain what I mean by that. I just mean I like meeting people in non-ordinary circumstances.
Oh, I don't like posting pictures, (thus the reason for the strange picture) but I don't mind emailing them, so please feel free to ask if you are interested.
The person I would like to meet
I am open to a lot of different kinds of people...I am not obsessed with looks. I guess not taking yourself too seriously is important.
What do you like to do for fun/hobbies?
I am a simple person in a lot of ways, I suppose. I love playing with my dogs.
I enjoy cooking, French and Thai are probabaly my favorites....I am working on
trying to get the Italian thing down.
I like to travel. I have been lucky, I have been able to travel quite a bit. I love to hear other people's traveling stories.
...I love gardening...well, maybe it is more of a fascination. It still amazes me how you can just plant something, give it sun and water and it grows. I don't mean that in any kind of poetic way, I am just fascintated by it. :)
What is your fantasy vacation?
I really want to go to Thailand.
As I have sort of said in my essays and blog, I am just really interested in human behavior in general and sexuality in particular...and I really enjoy contrasts...I have never been, I only know from stories, but I don't know how one cannot be fascinated by a city like Bangkok, where you can see monks walking the street in silent prayer, and then half an hour later, see a stripper shoot ping pong balls out of her...well you get it.
Where did you last vacation and did you like it?
Mexico. I go there quite often, and I always love it. I usually spend a lot of time around Guadalajara if I can, but I do like to try to travel around. Last time, I went to southern Mexico. Oaxaca, Huatulco, etc. Huatulco is pretty, but a little too touristy for me. If you can go to Oaxaca, I highly recomend it. The people are wonderful, the area is gorgeous, and the architecture is beautiful...if you like that Spanish colonial thing, which I do....it does help to speak some Spanish, though....
What do you find attractive in people?
People that can laugh at themselves, and not take themselves too seriously.
Smiles, hair, thoughtfulness.
I seem to be attracted to nurses a lot, whatever that means... :)
What do others do that irritate you?
People who feel overly self important.
What do you think is your best quality?
I try to have a sense of humor about myself...even trying to describe myself on an adult dating site, I have to find humor in.. hahaha
What one thing would you change about your personality if you could?
I would like to be more forgiving.
