In an effort to test out OMG's suggestion of community blogging and Looking's suggestion of topic... Here goes a quicky...

I have all any man could want. I am handsome and respected beyond all men. I have the ever undying love of a most beautiful woman, without whom I would not be here. I have riches and wealth in excess, enough for several lifetimes of mindless spending.

My steed is as fast as the wind, my crops bountiful, my hands soft from the work of others.

But at night. At night my mind wanders to another distant yet familiar place. Though I have all any mortal man could dream of, my dreams are still full.

The soft smooth surface of the lily pad. The humid musty smell of morning in the marsh. A pair of perfectly long muscular legs floating just below the surface of the water. The sound of 100 of my children swimming up to brush their new and stubby legs along my side. The joy of seeing each of them take their first breath of air. All wonderful memories found now only in dreams.

But most favored, most missed, for I have found no humanly experience to be like it..

I dream of the wonderful way a fly's wings tickle the roof of your mouth...
