How do you feel about birthdays? Are they days that you celebrate or are they B-a-Days where they are just "Being another Day" for you?

I am 33, giong to be 34 on Fen 27th and I am just as excited to have my Birthday as when I was 8 and getting a bike for my birthday. ^_^ The excitement of birthdays has never gone down even if the amount of friends around to celebrate it has. I'll broadcast to even strangers (such as you all who are reading this) about my birthday because I want everyone to share in the magic and joy of a birthday that I feel every time I have one. I doubt that even if I am 99, I'll ever change my feelings.

Am I the only one who feels like this? Or is it another day that you dream or would rather forget about? Please share your thoughts and if any, good or bad memories you wish to share about why or why not you celebrate (or don't) your birthdays.

I don't celebrate my birthday, haven't in many years, but I always try to make that of friends and family a special occasion.

Happy Birthday!!

Sure, if I had my way I would make my birthday (Feb.25) an international holiday to honor me. lol Seriously, I do treat it as a special day, and people should feel that way about their own birthday too. I'm taking you meant to say in your blog that your birthday is "Feb.27". Elizabeth Taylor's birthday is the same day.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday! My family sends me great wishes on the anniversary of the day I was born. I celebrate every year with the hubby and kids.

My birthday is my favorite day of the year. I think celebrating the day you were born is very important. I have always tried to make it a wonderfully special day for sons on theirs and my husband too. I really dont care about christmas or even wedding anniversary but I really pout if my birthday is forgotten.

The only reason we have birthdays is to mark the idea that the alternative is too hard to handle

I haven't celebrated my birthday since 1978. I sincerely wish that everyone else who knows me would forget about it too.

Age is just a number. You should celebrate you! So, if you don't want to call it your birthday or the anniversary of the day you were born... call it Youday. You deserve it.
