I was just watching Fox news a few minutes ago and there was a story about a man who died in his chair at home and no one knew this until just recently after one year. His tv was left on still and everyone who knew him thought that he had gone to a nursing home. Okay, why was the tv still on? I would think the bills weren't getting pain and the electric and cable would have been shut off a long the way. As for his grass not getting cut outside, there's another clue something may not be right. What kind of neighbors did this guy have to where they weren't all that concerned, or were just plain clueless? Guess the guy didn't have family, nothing said in that story about family. My image was the chair that he was in on what it looked like after about a month or two. I guess it's safe to say that recliner will probably be burned like it should be after something like that. I still can't get over that fact that a man sat in his recliner dead for a full year before anyone noticed something wasn't right. What do you all think?

Well I can't imagine! With someone being dead that long the smell would be enough to knock you out. If someone even knocked on his door, (mailman, neighbor, anyone) they would be able to smell it. Working in a hospital believe me after someone has been dead for a day (morgue) the smell is almost gaging. Kinda sad that someone can die and no one even notice

I think it's sad that the world is so self absorbed that no one noticed or cared to notice something was wrong.
What was the post office doing with all the guys mail??

Shawn,,,,Yes, you are right the electric bill was not that much,,,,being it was only the TV going,,,,,I guess that was the reason they didn't shut it off...That's really a shame....

Hey strad?
Ya know man I knew a man like that once when I lived out in a rural area, before I moved to the city. There are people and things that could Amaze ya man. This old man I knew could drink 4 cases of beer for 3 days and get fucked up as hell, and he stayed passed out in his chair for 3 day's, had 20 cats (No lie) And on a Monday? Have no sign of a hangover, and he was 62 years old, crippled, and also mentally handicapped! So yeah I can believe that, sounds like this person I knew. It's sad though man people let themselves get in such a state. But it does happen sadly. Those people I actually feel for. Because somewhere down the line they never had anyone that loved them or cared! It is scary in a way. Crow.
