We should all remember that Valentines Day was started with the death of a man who was in love with the wrong woman. What is to be said of a day that perverts history and is based an adultery, revenge, lust, hate, and death.

Thank you cktocl, I hate hearing about how romantic Valentine's Day is. History is one of my interests and the fact that corporations built a holiday around a bloody decapitation and that people buy into it is a fact that gets sadder and sadder every year

V Day is the eve of a very important day for many of the women who know me...my female coworkers because I'm the guy who buys the marked down candy tomorrow and they all flock around my cubicle for some chocolate like ducks at the pond in the park do to the person with a bag of popcorn. This ritual will next be repeated the day after Easter.
It has been so long since it symbolized anything of meaning that I don't give a damn beyond the candy. The only way I foresee that changing is if I buy stock in Hallmarks.
