A freind and i were talking about that very subject the other day. The way he explained it to me is: Men have their sexual organs on the outside of their bodies, so men are detatched from sex and therefore are not emotionally tied to the sexual act, however women have their sex organs on the inside and are more emotionally attched to sex than men are. Which is why men can go out and have one night stands. I agree with that, but i also believe that the double standard is alive and well. If men go out and have sex with a bunch of different women, he's labeled a stud or something equally as lame. While if a woman does the same thing she's a whore or a slut.
