What are your top 3 greatest soundtracks from movies? There have been so many great soundtracks, especially over the past 30 years. I would have to say the 3 that comes to mind for me would be...
1. Footloose
2. (Tie) Flashdance and Purple Rain
3. Grease

Without a doubt, "HAIR!" is my absolute favorite movie soundtrack...after that, I'd say "Dirty Dancing" for sure, and either "Armaggedon" or "Maximum Overdrive"

Great blog, Strad. You, DS and Dom always post interesting stuff. I'm not a big music buff but A Bronx Tale had an awesome 60's DoWop soundtrack that was flawlessly incorporated into the plot and dialogue. Deniro directed that one and Chaz Palmenteri wrote it and co-starred. Nothing really compares to cranking your stereo(if it's hooked up to your TV) and watching Top Gun!
