Is a pretty sad place to be right now...
At least in my neck of the woods.

I lived in Key West for 6 years, we were lucky enough to only have one hurricane go through at that time. I feel for ya honey!

I'm safe, and so is my family, thank God....but so many weren't so lucky. The death toll is relatively low (20) so far...but there were so many injured. I heard the Governor saying on the news today that it was like 3 CAT 5 hurricanes. We had one whole section of expensive homes with solid concrete foundations and reinforcement destroyed.
They found one father and his child dead...he was still clutching the child. They found a 17 year old girl crushed under an oak tree....the stories are endless.
In the section that had the most deaths....the houses were literally gone. All that was left for some was a slab....no debris, no remnants, nothing.
Storms that turn out like this serve as a reminder of what owning a good weather radio can do for you. As soon as our stores are supplied with them again, I am buying one.
Thanks everyone for your kind words........
And buy weather radios!
