I'm getting very tired of my situation. I've had some resent finacial difficulties that have resulted in my vehicle being repossessed. I really just want the ability to go out again I know all of this is really my own fault but, does it really have to be that I can't come up with anywhere to go for the next year or so until I can get a new vehicle. I can't go to meet anyone no bars, movie theaters or any other cheap forms of entetainment.Has anyone else been here? This is the most frustrating thing.

Due to the fact i'm only partially sighted i have never driven, and use public transportation (city bus), taxi's, walk or beg a ride from friends and family. If i want to meet someone i meet them at a local restaurant that i can walk to or take a cab to. At times its hard but hey if you want a life you find a way to have one.

I know what you mean, my mo-ped got repo'd six months ago and I've been hitchhiking ever since...

So just wait until you may become disabled , are paid a really low income, are not allowed to work anywhere, and for medical reasons you are never allowed to drive again.

I haven't had a car for a little over 2 years. It's not easy, but I manage to get around where I NEED to get to, the want to get to places are fewer and farther between. Buses, taxi's, walking, and friends get me the places I need to be. On some occasions, friends will get me where I want to go. I don't date, and this is a big part of why. Because I don't go out much, the only place to really meet anyone is online, and I most assuredly won't have a stranger pick me up at my house. You have to deal with it, I guess. Not encouraging, but it happens to the best of us.

My car was repoed, and I've been riding Bel Air's mom ever since! Zing!

Sure I've been there. As a victim of identity theft, someone impersonated me while running a stop sign, had no insurance, had no picture I.D. and of course he didn't pay for the ticket.

Three years later, I was pulled over and they discovered I had my license suspended and had to have my car taken away. After paying to get it back, and paying for a lawyer and nearly a year of community service, I'm now a legal driver again. But I did drive for the longest time without a license. You would think the DMV or my insurance company would have told me this.

I have been there. I live in a small town. No buses. I had to rely on friends to pick me up for work, plus take my child to a sitter at that time. This went on for about 6 months until I got enough money saved to buy a cheap used car from one of those buy here pay here lots.
At least I was a block away from a dollar general to get the basic's I needed to get.
Good luck.

Yep, been there and done that a few times...for reasons I'll not go into. But thankfully I've always had plenty of lady friends who'd get me to here and there...but even more thankfully, I'm not in this situation any longer.
