If I could please, Id like to draw everyone's attention to my "smoking status" yup, that's right... it says NO DONT SMOKE!!!
I quit! Today makes two weeks! And I haven't bought a pack in over three. I'm thinking of ways to reward myself... maybe every day I'll put aside five bucks (yup, pack a day ish for over five years and I quick COLD TURKEY. Talk about being stubborn and will power) Ok anyway... After the build up of two months, maybe I"ll take myself out to a nice expensive dinner... hummm (calculates...) shit that's 210 dollars (keep in mind, for the past two weeks I HAVEN'T been spending) LoL maybe I'll just use that to buy a car? LoL Anyway, I just wanted to give myself some credit for being so AMAZING (ye yea I'm tooting my own horn, but I've been doin THAT for a while) LoL
This is just phase two of my "healthier living" resolution. Every month I take some other "life changing" decision and put it into play. Last month I gave up regular pop, and only RARELY drink diet, I'm a water girl now! (I've lost about three lbs, who'da thunk?) and now for February I've quit smoking. So for march I can start exercising daily. (Not that I'm not running around like a chicken with my head cut off after my son LoL)

Ok so I'm out!

I quit smoking for seven years...then two years ago I was at a family gathering and smoked a cig...and was right back where I started!! So my advice is once you quit...don't pick up a cig again!!
Congratulations!!

Congradulations on quitting smoking. It is a will power thing.

I really need to quit. My child hates the smell of it. Not to mention the cost of it.

How much better I would feel if I did quit.

Ladie good for you!!!! I wish I could, but you really want to have to do it and right now it's just one vice I don't want to give up, I can get an off brand for $2.29 a pack here, if they ever get to $5.00 a pack then I will probably have to. But girl stay strong and keep them out of your life, get you some carrot sticks when you get the cravings and carry them around!!!!! Good Luck and stay strong!!!!!!!

Great job! Fantastic! Keep up the good work. And, should you have a small slip up, don't beat yourself up! Just get back on the wagon! The sooner you quit, the better and this is going to work in your favor. Kudos!

Way to go girl on a habit that is very hard to break. As others have stated, don't even try one again, as you will just start over again. Hmmmm, extra money.... for some new toys? Call me if you need help picking them out!

Well done I am still trying to quit. Only started again after the death of my mum in July 2005 and that was after 14 years of being a non smoker. I just need the will power or a good (make that bad) woman to help me.
