All that rain California has been getting this week is moving across the country and headed right for the Ohio valley.

We're expecting some icy mix in with some rain and snow early on starting overnight into morning, and mainly sleet and snow Sunday afternoon before it changes over to nothing but heavy snow. They're saying Cincinnati along with the rest of the Ohio valley are expecting to see 8-12" of snow on top of the ice Sunday night into Monday.

The low will hit around -1 below, and then around 9 Tuesday night.

Currently it's around 50 degrees outside.

Man, this had been a great winter!

Great winter? Blah!!! If you say so. I could have done without the damned polar vortex. The snow was actually not so bad...I mean, yes, we have a lot of it, and about now, I'm tired of it. But for those who enjoy snow snowmobiling , skiing, ice fishing, it's been a fabulous winter for them.

We can also expect some major power outages because of the heavy ice we're expecting early on from this storm. I prefer snow over ice anytime.

we're expecting the same here, but the forecast seems to change about every few hours, hope we don't get any of it.

Yesterday we saw cold heavy rain mostly through the day with the temp holding steady at around 34 degrees. By late afternoon that first band had stopped for a couple of hours before the second band of the system moved in starting off with sleet before finally changing over to snow around 9pm last night. All day long they had been revising the possible snow accumulations from 8-12", to then 4-8", and then 4-6", and then 3-7".

The snow lasted through the night and we ended up with roughly 4-5" of snow. I was hoping for the foot of snow, but hey, 5" isn't that bad to get.

The snow is tapering off right now and moving on east.
