A sign of a lazy society

I recently became aware of a very graphic sign of our lazy society.

I travel a lot on business, lots of driving, lots of coffee, and therefore lots of pit stops. Add to that I am 59, male, and type 2 diabetic and...you get the picture. I frequently use public restrooms.

Most public restrooms in high "traffic" buildings are now automated. Automatic toilet/urinal flushers, motion-sensitive sinks, automatic hand dryers or motion-sensitive paper towel dispensers. Herein lies our laziness. Some older buildings like old urban office buildings or local convenience stores (not a major chain) still have manual sinks, paper towel dispensers and...toilets/urinals. They have never been modernized.

I have recently become aware that people today are too lazy to check and see if their toilet/urinal is automatic or manual. They do their business and walk away, expecting the facility to flush itself. We have a generation of young people who expect someone else to flush for them. Or maybe the evolutionists will tell me that we are losing our ability to flush. The government may decree that someone needs to help these people by requiring that ALL bathrooms be modernized to flush for those who cannot flush for themselves.

I think society is getting lazy...and it stinks!

This seems to be the way of life anymore in our society.

To me it's not so much laziness, as common courtesy being trumped by a drive to
"mark one's territory". It's not laziness or de-evolution; it's pure arrogance!
