Now that I am settled into an apartment (first one for me in 39 years), I can commence to renewing my life Well, I just did a search of females from 45 to 70 within 35 miles of me on Matchdoctor. That sweep encompassed an area of well over a million people.

There was one hit that had logged on within the last three months Nothing against the lady, but nothing close to a good match/alignment I am not surprised as the pickins' were single digits when I lived in the middle of six and half million people in DFW. But initial forays into PoF and OKC have produced promising results

So I guess it is a dating site in name only, no surprise there Most of the active people tend to live in rural areas and Blogland is kind of a cyber coffee shop or neighborhood bar. That is okay

The people that are regulars here seem to like it despite all of the bitching and bickering. In spite of that, all of the people are good people that will help their neighbors in times of trouble. It is a positive

My only regret about my move concerning MD, is that I didn't take the time to visit and meet a lot of my friends on here in person when I was less than 400 miles away from many of them The trip from where I was in SE Missouri to where I am now is right at a thousand miles.

My biggest regret in the move... I miss Harpo But he couldn't come But he and Duster will make a great team, they are both great guys who need love and have a lot to give

Rotties are a victim of profiling and get a bad rap They are wonderful, gentle, loyal, loving companions if treated right Some breeds just attract bad people

A lot of people move to a new locale and there are many bold challenges involved in it. It is a brave new world, a wing and prayer. It wasn't for me. The risk was nil. I'm retired, my money follows me where ever I ago and I have an established social circle dating back over thirty years down here.
It is much more like I am the prodigal son has come home I had talked about doing this forever Now I have Home is where the heart is, I'm home

I'm glad things are clicking for you there. Hopefully you can find that right woman that you're looking for.

Glad you are getting settled in and things are going well for you, Bet you are glad to be out of Missouri before this latest arctic blast, Home is where the heart is and you are lucky that you can go home, Some of us were priced out of the market for our location of choice years ago,

Rotties are wonderful dogs and so are Pits I might be getting a pit mix once the disability issue is settled, I tend to like large breed dogs who are protective,

I hear you on the slim pickings. And yes you should have visited folks on the way it would have been a good time for you and the folks you would have been able to meet on the way. Glad you made it safe and sound
