Sometimes you wonder where the years went, It doesn't seem that long ago that I was hearing Jimi play the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock or hanging out by the fountain in Washington Square park wearing bell bottom jeans and a tie-dye shirt, Oh heck who am I kidding I still own one too many tie-dye shirts, It is hilarious to hear my granddaughters call my clothes vintage and my music oldies,

On the other hand 60 is a pretty good age You are old enough to pretty much say what you think without worrying about what anyone will be thinking. And when you say you don't want to do something they just think you are tired and don't push the matter, Never mind I just wanted the house to myself so I can crank up the volume on my music and sing along to it at the top of my lungs without hearing that it is too loud from one of my kids,

If they think I am bad now they had better watch out because 65 is just around the corner,

I'm just a "youngun" and I say what I want....just ask my supervisor at work.

I was wondering where the time went when a classmate from high school emailed me the invite for our classes 30 year reunion. I remember thinking wow it's hard to believe we graduated 30 years ago when it feels like it was only a couple of years ago. Time does fly by when one isn't paying attention to it.

Beyond 16, 18, and 21 the so called milestones end in a zero for quite a while. As for 65, my target was 62, the youngest age for applying for SS retirement. The big one for me was 50 due to online dating. Back in those days I was dating heavily. As soon as the odometer rolled over to the big Five O, the number of emails from "real" women and positive replies to my contacts fell by two thirds over night I actually get more positive responses in sixties for some unknown reasons

I hate ta tell ya Rhonda but it just doesn't get any better...or slower! For me, it started out with the days going faster, then it progressed to the weeks, then months and now years. It seemed 62 was the big hump for me then time became a downhill rollercoaster. I will be 69 next week, time goes faster and the grim reaper just gets closer 'n closer every day. I plan on wringing out everything I can in the time I have left and enjoy every minute of it.

My granddaughter wore one of my tie-dyed shirts to a school function where they had to dress up in that period of clothes. She told me she was glad I was old enough to supply her the costume.

A friend of mine and I went to Woodstock. We asked her father if we could borrow his new car and he let us. Of course we did not tell him where we were going.

I told my parents I was going to a cultural music event in New York, I was a teenager but was already taking college classes. That summer I was visiting a couple of my classmates that had transferred to NYU. When I got home my dad just grinned and asked me how did I like hearing Jimi and Janis in person? And told me if I ever told my mom he knew where I was going he would deny it and some things just did not need to be said,
