How about that, that, that...................................................

Well damn. I don't know. Still ticked off at my Tigers for blowing a 4 run lead last night! I hope they do better with game 3.

Fall is slowly making its way here....today's temps are more fall-like. Even heard the furnace run once or twice this morning. It's fairly colorful around my area now....still a lot of green on the trees, but more and more color is making itself known now. On the local news this afternoon they said up north and in the UP the colors are peaking now...and around here, it's getting close...still a little on the moderate side.

Speaking of the news....I really wish I had been watching it a couple of days ago....that way I at least would have known that MDOT had closed off yet again a portion of the expressway I use on my way to work. At least then I wouldn't have been 15 minutes late for work! And I could have taken my alternate route to work! There's a joke in Michigan about us having 2 seasons..winter and road construction. When the snow is all gone, and the temps warm up, those blasted orange cones and gates seem to sprout up all over the place. A lot of drivers, myself included, may gripe about it, but, I'd rather the roads be kept up than crumbling and then having to deal with car repairs. A bent rim is actually cheaper to repair than a snapped ti-rod end.

So...everyone ready for Halloween? I was at the store last night to pick up some cat food for the cats...was going to pick up some Halloween candy...........and decided to wait a while on that. Otherwise, come Halloween, it will be gone. Yeah, no will power....I admit to it. It's time for me to watch the horror flicks for the month. I've got The Exorcist...probably be watching that tonight. I want to see A Haunting in Connecticut, a friend of mine said it's good, and then there was a new movie out this past summer, The Conjuring, I want to see that too. Wonder if it's on dvd yet. Going to have to look that up.

Wonder what winter is going to be like this year.

Don't be too hard on your Tigers. As a Yankee fan, I've seen Big Poppy erase leads many, many times. Tell them to walk him in those situations, one run is better than 4, lol.

Good luck.

It's been a busy day for me, starting from the moment my feet hit the floor this morning...well, to be more precise, from the moment my butt hit the toilet, my phone rang and the race was on! Unusual for a Monday.

Yesterday morning I fed my cats and then Button wouldn't eat again. They both will be 13 years old next month so I couldn't let it go so this morning I called the vet and they said bring her right in. Well, $187 later, we found there isn't anything wrong with her basically. Those blood tests were expensive but I couldn't not do them for her. They checked her ears, no mites but something is gunking them up and they're thinking allergy.

Both cats have ear problems so they gave me medicine for that for both of them then gave Button a shot for nausea figuring that was why she wasn't eating. It worked cause she's eating again. Now I have to look for food without grain in it. What we don't do for the pets we love!

Then the rest of the day just sorta went crazy. By late this afternoon I was whipped so me 'n my cats just stretched out, took a nap 'n watched tv. Hopefully tomorrow will be quieter.

Our leaves are turning and getting pretty but aren't near peaking yet. It was in the high 60's today, will be in the 70's tomorrow with rain coming in followed by a cold front with our temps dropping to the 50's for daytime highs...brrrrrrr! So I have tomorrow yet to finish up some stuff outside.

Honestly, I could use about 3 days of very inclement weather so Zelda and I can get some stuff done! This is the first time I've been on here all day and now that I look at the clock, now today has become yesterday! So I'm off to bed in hopes of getting an early start in the morning.

Sounds like a busy day Softie! I totally agree, what wouldn't we do for our furry pals. I'm glad Button has her appetite back. It is not good for a cat to go too long without eating.

Ya know...I always thought retirement meant taking it easy, relaxing, then I see my Dad, working part time, not because he needs to, but because he wants to. He thought back when he was 41 that he wanted to retire, he had taken the early retirement option GM offered back in 89. That lasted all of maybe a year, and he found the part time job he's still working at today. I don't know about retirement....with the screw ups we have in government..people in my age group and younger probably won't retire till we're in our 80's.

We're looking at a couple of days of rain up here starting tonight. Maybe that front will drag along in your area.

Well one games is the next games the tigers are like that.
As for the roads your right fix them. But I must say I'm glad to be retired. I used to have to truck down to the city county building. I never called it the colmen young Municipal center and probably never will. Now I work from home only leave to go to the store. Your right fall is creeping up on us. Winter well you never can tell its Michigan.

Sorry about your Tigers.

I'm pulling for St. Louis to win the World Series.

On another sports note....My Bengals beat your Lions this afternoon, 27-24.

We're 5-2 now.
