Hello Peeps! It's been a while, huh? Just when I think life is settling down to a dull roar and all that crap, it just races on...

Short partial medical update...I went for heart tests yesterday. They did an ultra sound of my carotid arteries and my heart, an EKG and right now I'm strapped up with a halter monitor recording my heart for 2 days which comes off tomorrow afternoon.

I seriously don't think there's anything wrong with my heart but they're trying to find the cause for 3 episodes I've had for brief dizziness and blurring of vision in my right eye. I guess they have to start somewhere. At my age, a good, thorough check of the old ticker isn't a bad idea, huh?

Other than that, I'm busy as ever...well almost. The weather is still nice so I'm either outside or Susie and I are off and running. I guess I can't really settle in to having big chunks of time to myself until the weather turns cold 'n that's ok. I wanna squeeze as much as I can outta pretty days.

Other than that, there's not much going on. I haven't forgotten about the Halloween story. Geeeez I'm outta practice! I started one, wrote about 3 chapters and decided it would be a good story but not a good Halloween story. Then this evening when I was watching tv, a thought sorta drifted into my mind so I've started another one and hopefully this one will work...I still have a little time to play with it.

I will be totally glad when I can get back in the swing and focus on writing again, I miss it.

It's good to see Straddle back...although his numerous postings will sweep this blog right off the front page in a matter of minutes...ok, ok...hours lol but it's good to see his nonsense blogs back again...sorry Shawn, I'm just an old woman and saying 'nonsense blogs' isn't intended to offend you so be nice to your elders...k?

It was good to see LBS pop in and catch us up on her life...man she's had some tough times and sadness but whata gal...hope she comes back from time to time.

Sawduster has slipped back in some...would like to see him blog more. I just like his blogs, he's a good writer.

Then there's Sugar, WoW 'n lil old me...we just hang in there. We're either stupid or stubborn or maybe a little of both...lol.

So anyway...I'm working on a story which I want completed before I start posting it. I pop in most every day but usually don't stay long then I'm off 'n runnin' again.

I'll see ya'll next time. Until then, be safe, be happy 'n keep smilin'....

Hugs
Softie

That is wonderful Boo Boo I had worried about that, hon. Coincidently, I have already explained my concerns as a comment in Straddle's blog. It shouldn't be too hard to find in Pervia these days, just follow the tumble weed through town

No shit Don't ignore anything, better safe than sorry especially at our age. You see, my friend, as we get older our margin for error in our health care decisions gets increasingly narrow

We need to have a good primary physician who works well with us, communicates with us, that we trust, and have a positive relationship with. My last primary with the VA and I, along with the staff, were so simpatico that I would drive 40 miles one way to see them One of biggest concerns that I have in a new locale is having confidence in a new primary care physician.

The Reader's Digest is that a doctor drafted into the military fucked up my knee forever with a ridiculous post op rehab that I over achieved on. That is imbedded in my mind. I will and I have fired many physicians in the VA and in the private sector health care insurance groups. It is my life, my body, and it is going to be done the way I want, period, one way or another.

Finally, after rambling... you know your body, you know your life, if you don't like them. fire them. That is what I do and it iss a policy that has served me well

Hugs,

Bruce

You had better take good care of that heart...I happen to want ya to stick around. I hope they can figure out what is causing those dizzy spells...definitely not something to mess with.

I'm happy to see Shawn blogging again. I like his blogs, all of them. It's fun having him blogging again.

I have been enjoying these last remaining days of the nice weather also. Too soon it will be chilly out, and I will not be staying outside as long. I've been noticing that the dogs coats are changing, starting to look thicker.

I wonder at what kind of winter we will have this year. Around here, it didn't kick in fully till about January. Then it seemed like every week a new storm was coming through. Ohio can have that fun this year. Believe me, if I could really make that happen, Shawn would have all the snow he desires.

Just watched AMC's Walking Dead Marathon. What a creepy show. Going to have to try catching the season premier this upcoming Sunday.

I agree with both Dawn and Bruce, take care of yourself there.

Dawn, thank you for the kind words, it's good to be back this week blogging again. After this week, I'll will try to post some here and there when I can. I've got the time this week to enjoy Pervia.

My dear softie, stupidity has never been one of your sobriquets. And as to your being stubborn....I deem it a trait which has served you well. WRITE......in that lies a peacefulness for you.........

As ever was,

First of all, let me correct the name of this monitor I'm wearing...it's HOLTER, not halter.

Now then, Bruce...

......It shouldn't be too hard to find in Pervia these days, just follow the tumble weed through town...

That is so funny! I needed a good laugh tonight. Anyway, I have a wonderful doctor. I've been with him for so long I can't remember when I started seeing him. He also has a Physician's Assistant that is wonderful...he sees me for my diabetes.

After all these years, they know me...and my quirks. They are totally thorough and their caring is obvious...methinks that's why I've lived so long 'cause they see to it that I do! (and by the way...I know you care, too. Thanks Hun)

Awwww Sugar, thanks girl...I think I'm too ornery to kick the bucket...hopefully! Yeah, I'm enjoying this last bit of lovely weather but it will be ending soon enough. I am hoping for a little more snow this year...good snows of 3-6 inches. But then again, I don't have to get out and drive in it either..the perks of retirement!

The Walking Dead Marathon??? Oh...I don't watch those kinda shows...I did when I was young but now? NOT!!! But then again, I don't have FIVE dogs to protect me! LOL My cats are just no security at all...sigh...

Well hello DC....I can about always count on you to make me pick up my dictionary and look up a word....sobriquets...1. a nickname 2. an assumed name. Thanks hun, I am glad you think I'm not stupid and that being stubborn isn't such a bad thing.

I AM writing but it's getting off to a rocky start...so rusty! But for now, I am getting so many interruptions that my concentration and focus just can't function. Bring on the SNOW and inclement weather and I will have lots of time to practice, practice, practice! Yes...peacefulness...it's been so long....

Sorry Shawn...didn't mean to ignore you...I just scrolled too fast and missed your comment.

Thanks for caring. I do hope when you go back to work that you won't get too busy for us...we need ya baby! (how's that?) lol

Take care of yourself B! Don't let something slide just because you don't feel it's "important" Dad let things slide, by the time he did go get things checked out, it was pretty much too late. Granted he had 84 good years, but could probably had more had he gone sooner for check ups. Days are getting shorter, nights are getting colder......I'll be popping in more!

Thanks JP...that's very kind of you.

LBS...Thanks hun...I'm trying to get to the bottom of some long term problems but man do I hate appointments! With everything that needs done, this will drag on 'til the first of the year but when it's all done, I should be in pretty good shape.

Yes, it's gettin' cold, especially at night. As much as I don't like winter, I'm still looking forward to saying goodbye to a summer that has ran me ragged. I guess I need winter to regenerate....that comes with age, DANGIT!
