Well Whats new around here? Not much as usual, the worst thing to happen was my old, and do mean old, TV was on its' last wheezing breath, and ready for the great recycling yard somewhere. So, yesterday, I headed into the Cape and said bye to it. I already had an idea of what I wanted and brought home a 39” flat panel. So now I'm up to date with my TV. My cell phone tho is a couple of years old, and the display has some issues, so that might get replaced very soon too. But since I don't text, or watch videos, or do anything but talk on mine, trying to get one that just does what I need it for is going to be a minor problem.

I may have mentioned I have had some very serious thoughts about having the open heart surgery. After looking much deeper into what can happen within a couple of years after with and without it, I came to the conclusion I stand as good chanced of living another ten years at least without it, and a better chance of dying within 2 years with it. Some major changes to my life style are going to have to be made, but, WTF. And the biggest one will be quitting smoking. Then the doctors will want me to give up my whole milk and most dairy products, not to mention my coffee. The blood thinners, and cholesterol meds I'm on now have limited effect the way things are right now. Lets' see if I can at least get away from the smokes and get my blood pressure down that way first.

I'm making a little progress clearing out some of the left overs from my brother and all of his crap that was left here. Most of it was Goodwill anyway, so what ever goes back to them will be that much less I have to deal with again. And as disorganized as I am with most things, less is much better. I can't make as big a mess with less stuff.

Also was talking with a good friend that still thinks some of the lamps I made in the past were real good, especially after seeing a couple Pier One. Unfortunately, it got at least two of my brain cells to contemplating trying to put some together this winter and seeing if I can sell them next spring and summer. But something like that leads to other projects, like beds, and who knows what direction it might all lead me into. Or should I say trouble? I feel a headache coming on, and it isn’t' from high blood pressure. Oh well, I better get busy on this stuff, and see what I can accomplish before the day is over and I haven't even got started.

And as a BTW, I posted this just to add something to the fun that has been lacking.

You have to decide what is best for you on the heart surgery. No one can do that for you. But I will say....I'd take the 10 more years over the 2 more years anytime.

Cell phone, talk to your cell phone provider and tell them you just want a basic cell phone. They are fairly cheap. All cell phones have texting capability, but that doesn't mean you have to use it. I see ads all the time for cell phones that start as little as $10 and up. Depends on who you get your service through.

I've still got my "disaster room" to organize that I was going to do in the spring, but never got around to. Still trying to convince myself to get in there...haven't succeeded yet.

Those flat panel tv's are nice. I love mine. If I wanted to, I could even use mine as an over sized computer monitor. But I don't have a wireless desktop is still plugged into it's own monitor.

I am like you, all I want the phone to do is make and receive calls and I want a phone with a larger key pad as my dexterity is dreadful. I went to Wally World recently and got a T Mobile Samsung phone that fit those specs for $29.95 and unlimited minutes (no data) for the same price monthly and no contract. To get the phones any cheaper than that you have to sign a contract. Prices for cell service have been steadily dropping so anyone opting now to get locked into a long term contract is a fool IMO.

I hope you're doing well, Sawduster.
