As I begin to squeeze in more time with Zelda, she is holding surprises for me...and I'm not happy with her!

I want to get alot of my 'important' stuff onto CDs. The main one is a little short video of my Mom. She loved to dance and went to lots of dances when she lived in Florida. But this lil video was of her when she was in her 90's. I'd just fixed her hair and I had a cassette of Magic Organ playing...polka music and oh how she loved to polka!

She started to dance to the music so I grabbed my phone and video taped her then sent it to Zelda. For years I've been meaning to get it on a DVD (lesson for me...it's a DVD not a CD). So anyway, I had the DVD ready, clicked on the video, my media player came up followed by a pop up that tells me something is missing and it can't play the video! Soooooo...

I called my trusted tech man and we're gonna do a remote next Tuesday to see if he can fix the problem...and give Zelda a needed physical. I swear, I don't know what she does when I'm absent...she just runs amok!!! Nothing serious, just little annoying shit just to, well...annoy me. Gremlins...computer gremlins, that's what it is and Zelda just runs 'n plays with 'em...frolicing with the enemy! I MUST spend more time with her...methinks she needs supervision...lol.

I want to copy my stories, poetry and other documents to CDs but it'd been a long time and it took me over an hour to figure out how to do it again. I'd thought that if I didn't fill a CD then somehow I could find where what I'd put on it ended and add to it but so far, no dice. I will have to ask my computer tech how to do that, I guess.

We went to that lil festival this morning...the only good thing about it is, it is where my granddaughter lives and I got to see her. We went to a sausage 'n pancake breakfast and I couldn't believe it...they were both cold!!! They had them in big roasters but didn't have them plugged in to keep the food warm. The sausage tasted old and it was tough 'n dry...I didn't eat mine.

The Flea market was a joke...about 5 vendors selling silly shit. They had a classic car show but that doesn't interest me. We went to a few garage sales where I did find a full set of flannel sheets for $4.00. I use to have a set but it just disappeared, vanished...poof. I thought I'd stored them for the winter but I never have found them.

I bought a small cabinet, mainly to hold my CDs but where I want to put it means shuffling some stuff here in Zelda's room...but probably not today...just don't feel like it.

I have to fix the pork loin later for that pulled pork for my family reunion tomorrow. I will use my pressure cooker to cook the pork loin. The rest is mostly up to Susie. I guess we tear it apart, put it in a crockpot, add barbecue sauce and just let it simmer.

I'm looking forward to Monday. It's suppose to be around 70 degrees...yea! I just wanna putz around in the garage and maybe that night, have a fire in the burner on the back patio and just watch the flames flicker, listen to the night sounds and just chill, chill, chill...!!! Like you Dawn....I'm looking forwards to fall weather and the sweet coasting into the holidays...and the first snow!

I know Zelda thinks I'm gonna start messin' with her again. I've got things to copy, pictures to print and so on but...I think a nap is in order first...lol. I sent a heavy duty pain pill home with Susie....she is having more hip pain than me and it must really be hurting because this is the first time she's accepted a pain pill. Hopefully she'll sleep for a few hours...she really needs sleep bad. She suffers from insomnia and the pain doesn't help. I know she's exhausted.

Hopefully Zelda and I will get some things done later.

Ya'll have a safe holiday, much fun as summer winds down...be happy 'n keep smilin'....

Hugs
Softie

Yeah Softie, these computers like to "get even" when you ignore them too long. I have found me a computer tech that is very reasonable in his price....a flat fee of $45, nothing more, AND, if he can't fix what is wrong, he will not charge the fee. He got my desk top running like new again, and it's great!

Barbequed pulled pork? OMG!!! That stuff is great!!!! I'm going to have to get out the slow cooker here and make some of my own in the near future.

I've learned with things I want to save, I save in two places, a backup space on the hard drive, and then I use a USB drive to store things. Also called a flash drive or thumb drive. They are very nice, I have a few now where I have things stored on them. Depending on the size, they can start out at $10 and go up from there. They are very nice, and so much easier to move around.

I have Labor Day off from work, and I'm thinking of spending the day with the family. We're supposed to have thunderstorms off and on all day, so I don't know if Dad is going to fire up the grill or not. Regardless, it will be nice to spend the day with the family.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Labor Day weekend.
