Hi ya'll....thought I skipped town didn't ya? Well, I did....sorta.

I got to enjoy an overnight camping trip with my oldest daughter. I hadn't seen her in months so this was a very special time for the two of us....well, Jake made three. He even slept with me!

Now before you get all excited that I'm gonna tell you about a romp in the hay, let me say...Jake is really ugly....really! But then again, pug dogs are. He looks like he ran face first into a wall at 90 mph. He's all mouth 'n tongue. He has really buggy eyes, one brown and one is blue. But he is one strong little dog and he loves his toys! When he gets ahold of one, you can lift him right off the ground. Oh,...I forgot to say...he snores like a mack truck!

I wasn't real impressed with the campground...back in the tree areas, it looks like hillbilly heaven. There's no rules so you see everything from pink flamingos to every kind of lights strung from everything. A lot of the campers are old and unkept. And so many of them had makeshift porches walled in with lattice or whatever was handy.

But there was some nice sites that were kept nice 'n neat and pretty with flowers My daughter's camper is in a nicer area (but no trees) and they have it fixed up really nice. Every campsite is provided with a burn ring....well, not really a ring. They are tubs out of washing machines! They work really good and when a fire is burning, with the holes in those tubs, it looks like twinkle lights in the dark.

Speaking of twinkle lights. As some of you may know, my daughter is absolutely amazing with a hoola hoop. She has a new one that has LED lights that when it spins, it will sometimes show stars or hearts. The patterns are just gorgeous and she sure can do a beautiful job of working it like a professional.

Before we went camping, we went to the Goodwill store. I bought over $100 worth of clothes for $45.00!!! Sometimes being a senior citizen pays off...yep!

So I got back here Thursday and it's been crazy ever since. I've been to a storage auction, a regular auction and a festival. Then today I stayed home and cleaned up my garage. We went dumpster diving again so I had flowers to tear apart and sort. I got down all my tubs that I store my fall 'n Halloween decorations in and sorted through them all and was actually able to get rid of a good deal of it.

Next week shouldn't be so hectic...or at least it doesn't appear to be...yet. I will probably get that injection in my back sometime this next week. Wednesday we will shop for the ingredients we need for my family reunion on Labor Day Sunday. I have some doctor appts. to make...I still have things that need done and I think my big toes are next. They're beginning to turn in and the joint is protruding and hurts like hell so much of the time. I'll tell ya...getting old is the pits for sure!

So anyway, that's about it. Just wanted to pop in, share my week with ya and say 'Hi'. Now I gotta get to bed...church in the morning and the rest of the day? That's anybody's guess. (A nap would be nice....lol)

Ya'll enjoy your Sunday. Be happy, be safe 'n keep smilin'....

Hugs
Softie

I remember the video you shared with your daughter and the hoola hoop. She is good with them things.

Been keeping busy myself with work, yard work, visiting mom..no auctions. I stay away from those, too much stuff I'll see and I'll end up going home broke with a bunch of stuff I don't need.

Enjoy your family reunion.

So Softie I guess my tent and sleeping bag is a little to roughing it for you! I camp often when I'm on the road on the bike!

Well Sugar...anymore, at auctions, I don't buy it unless I need it. But I enjoy looking and watching other people just to see what they buy and how much they spend. Occasionally I'll bid on a box with something in it I'd like to have but I usually won't go over $4 or $5.00 on anything.

Ok Wayne...ur right...no tent, no sleeping bag. But then again, I don't go 'over the road' anymore....and I won't (I CAN'T because I just fall over backwards) pee squatting down or poop sittin' over a fallen tree trunk either...LOL. Guess this old fart is just too housebroken anymore!

Bruce, there isn't any news at this time about my health. The carpal tunnel surgery is healing but still a little sore. Follow-up visit, everything was ok and I have no restrictions. Although I still have some numbness in my fingers, doc said it would take time for those nerves to revive after so many years of being pinched.

As far as the injection in my back, we're still playing phone tag trying to set an appt. As soon as I know when that will be, I will call the Orthopaedic center and schedule an appt. with a doctor for my toes...my big toes. There's a name for this condition but I dont know what it is. My toes above the middle joint are beginning to turn in and they are not only sore but they sting and burn and sometimes throb like they've been hit with a hammer. This is next on my list after the injection.

After that, it will be my eyes. I have a terrible time with 'floaters' and this condition can be corrected by removing the liquid in the eye and replacing it. Once that is done then I need to have my eyes re-examined because I think they've changed again and my current prescription isn't right anymore.

THEN...if there's time left over, I will have carpal tunnel surgery done in my right hand before it gets really bad.'

Oh, one other thing...I got a letter telling me it's time for me to have a diagnostic test,, gastroscopy. I gotta work that in somewhere along the line.

There...how's that for catch up??? lol
