That is something that changes with the times. But it normally revolves around family members. Something I could have done but did not, or not understanding why one or another of them acted the way they did. All of it usually ending up in me having my stomach tied in knots for weeks.

The good part, now I understand why one in particular treated me the way he did, and all I ever wanted to do was get some respect, which he wouldn't and couldn't give. Such is life when you live with a narcissist.

I don't find regret very useful. Learning from your mistakes is more useful than wasting emotion regretting them.

Life takes its turns, you make mistakes, you adjust and make things better. I can see wrong moves I've made in life, but in most cases the steps I took to correct the mistake lead to good things that might not otherwise have happened.

Good question, Jerry, tough question. I would have to say how I responded during my separation. I went about it the wrong way. It worked out alright I guess. She remarried and the guy is very good to her. But she aged ten years in the one year of our separation (I didn't). That says a lot, at least to me.

But when we meet or talk on the phone there is a great flow. It then creeps her out. I will always be in love with her and my daughter knows it. She will always be in love with me but will never admit it and my daughter knows it. When we meet face to face her eyes give her away. If nobody is around we hug when we part

I don't do regret. If I have caused harm or upset and I feel that I was in the wrong, I do reparation if possible. If not, I simply let it go and don't worry about it anymore.
