Today hasn't been a bad day, weather was warm, if a little breezy, bills are all paid up for now, still have groceries in the house, and a little money in the checking account. I'll make it thru another month without worrying about not having a roof over my head.

I went out to the shop to sort thru and pick up a few things. Actually made some small progress on that front at least. Where Softie was talking about her work bench, I have basically a two car garage full of tools lumber, and all the associated goodies to go with it all. In duplicate for most of it. At one point last year I had started sorting some of it out to take to a flea market or sell on Craigs list. Just to get some of it out of my hair. And now, I really have to sell some of this stuff off. I need a good chainsaw, again. There are a couple of flying squirls that won't be happy if I do, their home is going to wind up on the burn pile. Had a big old sassafras tree in the yard that should have come down when we first moved here. It has been getting worse every year and finally, a friend brought his saw over and we got it down at least. Now, it needs to be cut into chunks I can handle on my own.

I have also been trying to make room in the storage building out back. Finally got a big part of that task done the other day. I had to take apart a wood kiln I'd built a few years back. Only used it once and found it cost more to run than I'd likely ever make from it, so it sat. it was good for storage, but too damned heavy for me to move, and in the way. So now I have a lot more plywood and cut up 2X4's to deal with. With any luck, another 4 or 5 years from now, I’ll have all this cleaned up.

The next thing to work on during the evenings for a day or three is getting one battery pack rebuilt. Got the batteries I'd ordered yesterday, and a charger today. At least there will be something for me to do besides sit and play on the computer or watch what little is worth watching on TV. Now if I can find a way to get rid of this yard full of wild onions. But short of pulling them all up by hand I don't see a good way to do it. That tactical nuke is sounding better all the time.

I gather that there is much to do and much to be taken to the dump.

I wish I could post pix. My garage is not only my workshop but Susie's main workshop...she has 3 other garages but mine is her 'home base'. She has her side and I have mine. Her's is absolutely organized and if I need to use something of hers, I have my orders to PUT IT BACK! I've never seen anyone have so many tools...if ya need it, she's got it.

My side on the other hand is filled with craft stuff...tons of silk flowers so yesterday, I DID find my workbench. It was a gorgeous day. I pulled all my tubs of flowers out because over the winter, I'd accumulated lots more and they needed to be put away. I decided to color coordinate my flowers...carnations in one tub, roses in another (I had the most of these kind) and the others I sorted by color. I had to put maybe 2-3 colors per tub because these tubs have to fit under my workbench. Susie had made me a 'flower tree' by putting a 4x4 on legs (and wheels!) and drilling angled holes in it so some of the larger flower bushes I put on the tree.

Now it's turned chilly again and lots of rain 'n storms but when it gets nice again, I still have lots of cupboards to go through not to mention all the crap hanging from the rafters...lol. I'm gettin' rid of a lot of stuff...well, let me rephrase that...I'm saving what I don't want for a summer garage sale. I made over $170 last year and I can sure use the money!

C'mon Duster....all this work we do may be work, but it's fun, too...huh? I enjoy it thoroughly!
