Me being somewhat of a license plates enthusiast who has collected different license plates over the years, I've gotta say that Ohio's current official license plate is ugly as hell. It's been our official one since 2010. Down below is the pic of it.
Well, Ohio is set to release it's new official license plates beginning April 15. Not too much to them, other than slogans all across the plate that have one time or another have been used over the years on Ohio license plates. The new plate also looks like an envelope, but I would rather have this one than the ugly one above any day.
Down below is going to be Ohio's new one soon. However, people have the option of not changing their plates to the official one, but after April 15, the ugly blue farm plates will no longer be offered to people wanting new plates.
Down below, a lot of us in Ohio still have these plates that came out in 2004. A lot of us never went for the ugly farm plates that came out in 2010.
I'm just going to throw this one in below because I like what's on them.

Was there an additional cost to the farm plates? The new one seems pretty generic. I would think they'd at least have some logan. Whoops, on a second glance I see it does.....still pretty generic.

No, it cost about the same standard fee. Although, Ohio has now raised the fees over the past year for plates, and new plates.
still pretty generic.
I agree, they are.

In Texas they charge for vanity plates and to have one with a mofif (like a university). It is the same way in Missouri. Over the years license plates have gotten more generic with a white plate and black or dark blue lettering.
Don't ask me why I remember this (but I do) but Nicole Brown Simpson's vanity plate read L84ad8

I love license plates ... that is one of the more entertaining things about a road trip for me.. checking out all the different lic. plates.
I think your new plate looks more modern than your old plate .. but me being a farm girl at heart I kinda like the farm scene.

I've been thinking about trying to find a monitor or a table top digital photo frame about the size of our license plate, so I can display and exact photo of our license plate in digital form, where I can change the tag color and date each year and the plate image when needed! Some plate mounts have big boarders surrounding the plates. How would the cops know?? You just have to make sure you don't get pulled over for anything! Save money!!
