Mine would have to be ...

1. Pete Rose's breaking of Ty Cobb's hit record on Sept. 11, 1985.

2. Mary Lou Retton's perfect 10 score at the 1984 Summer Olymics in Los Angeles.

3. Johnny Bench's Retirement game honoring Baseball's best catcher of all-time on Sept. 17, 1983. Over the past couple of years he had been playing third base because of all the worn and torn his knees took catching over the years. He played in the catcher's position on his special night, where he hit a home run as well.

I am surprised that you didn't mention Ohio State winning over Miami in the BCS Championship game.

I am surprised that you didn't mention Ohio State winning over Miami in the BCS Championship game.

Why? Ohio State has had a lot of titles from years past. I was happy to see them win that year, but it doesn't even rank in my book.

I didn't know you had to actually be there to have witnessed what you considered the greatest sports moment. Leave it to you, Bruce to be a pain in the ass in a blog again to a topic someone blogs about.

Bruce, you posted two comments on here, and have yet to answer what your was.

You had never answered as to whether you had to actually attend the event. I have a lot of them on TV but I don't remember the years and won't look them up.

When the Colts beat the Cowboys in Super Bowl V
When after years of frustration the Dodgers finally beat the Yankees in the World Series
When after years of frustration the Lakers finally beat the Celtics in the NBA Championship
When after years of frustration the Rangers finally beat the Yankees to advance to the World Series
The first time the 49ers beat the Cowboys in the NFC Championship game en route their first Super Bowl ring
When the Mavericks finally won the NBA Championship.

No, I watched all three events that I listed while it was live on tv.
