My Reds get the All-Star game in 2015, the first time since 1988. This will be the first for the Reds Great American Ballpark.

Should Pete Rose be allowed to participate in all the festivities when the Cincinnati Reds host the All-Star game in Cincinnati in 2015?

I believe Pete Rose should be part of it in 2015.

All he did was get caught gambling, it wasn't like he was using steroids or something.

I say let him be part of it.

No, not under the status quo. Banned from baseball means just that. Despite his accomplishments on the field as a player, he was a bad actor. If Selig wants lift the ban, then I'd be cool with it.

Why would anyone go to Cinncinnati? Even the all stars may not go. Pete's only going to be there to sign autographs, but I do think he belongs in the Hall of Fame. It's hypocrisy at it's worst that he's not. Best pure player in baseball.....ever, except for Cal Ripken and that's saying something.

I have to agree with Bruce, even though I don't agree with baseball. If Pete is banned from baseball he shouldn't be allowed to take part in anything MLB related. But I also think it's ridiculous that the greatest hitter of all time is banned for something he did outside of baseball while admitted steroid users are still allowed to participate in baseball things.

I agree with Bruce and rnj1013. There are rules and punishments if you don't follow the rules- otherwise, it would be the "Wild, Wild West" of pro sports!

Remember, there are many impressionable kids watching pro games as they grow up and see and read about the illegal activities that some pro athletes try to pull off!

This comment may be I think what we see in younger generations that is a problem is that there is a sense of entitlement on one hand and no sense of accountability on the other.

Once you turn eighteen nobody owes you a damned thing and you are responsible for your actions, reap what you sew. Tough titty, Pete.

Do you think my points are too liberal, Straddle?

Didn't Rose get outted for hiring people to sign his name for autographs? I recall something like that. The guy is such a jerk and cheeser

Not sure, I have never heard about this.

I know he can be a jerk at times.

Hi. Did you know there is a conspiracy going on? But I am with you on this. I too have a dream.
