Today our Defense Secretary (Leon Panetta) signed on to allow women to start serving in combat. This process will take three years for our military to enact. I don't have a huge problem with this, as long as the military doesn't lower it's standards in basic training to ready the women for real life combat.
If the military decides to lower it's standards so that women can pass the test to serve in combat, it'll cost us lives.

This tellsme recruitment is down. The govt was alway specific that women could not be on the front lines.
Me personally, I dont see anything wrong with it. We all have seen people take pressure differently. As long as a womangoes through the exact same training as a man, I think they should be given a chance to prove themselves.
Thank you

First of all, the military should keep it's testing standards exactly where they are at. If there are women that can pass that and can handle combat...more power to them. Don't lower the standards and weaken our military though.

Overall a bad idea, but they asked for it. IT WILL NEVER WORK OUT IN REALITY, BUT OBAMA IS STILL LICKING PUSSY IN CAMPAIGN MODE.

#1- I don't have a problem with it as long as you say, they don't lower the standards bar!
#2- Will women have to register when they turn 18 if this comes into being? I wonder how women would react, if for some reason they were subject to the draft, if it was ever re-instituted again?
#3 And certainly most important... I wouldn't mind having to share a foxhole with a fox any time!

Women in the U.S. military have already seen combat in Afghanistan and Iraq and 150 of them have died due to being in combat zones as 'combat support' personnel. It isn't a stretch to see this being approved. We still don't know what or if there will be any restrictions applied. Standards should not be lowered.
