If words could define, the way I see your face
And paint a million lines, with no color out of place
That smile goes on forever, staring back at me
How could just one picture, bring me inner peace?
Of the face that launched a thousand ships, that's how the story is told
To wonder, what touch, those soft lips, In time I'm getting old
I look again, at the gaze, the stare in your eyes
Once again, I am amazed, thinking how can I?
Tell you of all these things, floating in my head
Staring at your picture, instead of going to bed
And I like the way your hair, falls playfully to the side
Sunlight dances on a dare, when moonlight trys to hide
What else can I say? what else can I write?
I thought about you and this picture all day, and half of the night
I wish for another, picture to see
Something to recover from, a vivid memory
I'd wish for alot of things, for now left unsaid
To see what the future brings, and new poems to be read?
