New rules and regulations? posted 10/30/2012 11:29:06 AM | 0 kudos what's this?     report abuse tagged: mail, rules   WhiskeyDick7 I pretty much left this site for dead a while back and only pop in occasionally to laugh at the scam mail in my inbox. However, I checked in the other day to find that after two years on here my pictures have finally been approved. I had given up hope on this happening a long time ago. This inspired me to revise my profile and start actively using the site again. No sooner did I start to become interested again then I began to read about the new cap on outgoing messages. The point of all this boring rambling is to ask those that are still here exactly what's going on with the site now and what I've missed. Am I to understand that though I finally have a face I still will not receive any real messages because everyone has a limit now? Exactly how many can you send and/or receive? The only reason I signed up here to begin with was because it was free. I've never had a paid membership to any dating site and never will. If I did decide to pay for this so called service, there are much better sites out there than this one. Anyway, if you guys could get me up to speed I would appreciate it. 	Free members USED to have a daily limit of 100 emails per day. Meaning they could send up to 100 emails in a 24 hour period. Lately, some have experienced where if they send one, then they get that message about reaching their limit and then email privileges didn't come back. It seems like that has been fixed now. Now it's when blogs are written and people comment, there isn't an email notification for the comment. I guess those running the site have been working on that issue. And some have been saying the emoticons aren't working. I haven't had that problem.

	So it's just some bugs then, huh? I can deal with that. You get what you pay for. Was getting the impression though that they were going the way of other sites where they lure you in by letting you send one or two messages that nobody can respond to and then making you pay to do anything else.

	The glitches are sporadic. I lost my e-mail notifications for comments, then got it back...then lost it again and now I have it back again. Same with my emoticons and so far, they're still gone. I guess those who have firefox (I think that's what it's called) then their emoticons work. I tried firefox a long time ago and it interferred with my downloading stationery...it wouldn't let me or I had to do it another way and I didn't want to. It blocked too much stuff if I remember right so I'd rather do without emoticons...but I still think it's something to do with AMD since they come and go at random. I sure wish they'd take an interest here again...maybe it would grow if they did...shrugs....

	I sure wish they'd take an interest here again They (AMD and MD) have moved their entire data base to a new server. They did this within the last month, and that is why there is a lot of glitches that they are still working out. Here is their message: Moved the site and database to brand new hardware. 	Google Chrome despite it's crashes, seems to work best.
