I know that the San Francisco Giants are one hell of a team (they beat my Reds in 5 games after my Reds took the first two from them), but I didn't expect them to sweep the Detriot Tigers to win the World Series tonight.
Anyway, congrats to the San Francisco Giants and their fans.
Dawn, sorry for the loss. :(
Damn, wished my Emoticons were working.

I was expecting a seven game series. Game four was a good one to watch.

While it's true my Tigers didn't win, in fact, they got swept, I'm still happy for them making it to the World Series. There will be other chances.
Now if this stupid NHL lockout would end. My Lions aren't doing too bad though, but I'm usually working when they're games are on, so I don't get to see them. And I just don't care for basketball, it bores me.

There is only one happy team when all is said and done. But this year produced a very sour ending for a lot of teams. First, the Rangers and Josh Hamilton melt down as the team that had the best record in baseball floundered and they lost six of their last seven culminating in a one and done against the Orioles. Next is your Deds, I mean Reds who couldn't close the deal by winning one game out of three. Next came the Cardinals with the same problem. The vaunted Yankees got swept as did the Tigers. Most unusual when taken as a whole.
