No, I can't stand politics and no, I can't stand politicians but, that doesn't mean I wasn't going to watch the debates in hopes of actually hearing something different, something with 'feel good' substance for a change! Well that didn't happen- still the blame game on both sides, still the same 'ole gobbledygook rhetoric, with the usual false hopes of a better America than it has been, only, done slightly different by each party with the only benefactors being the politicians as usual!
Both parties are insane! The maxim: the definition of insanity is: doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results... says so! Both parties are guilty of that! Politicians just don't learn or don't care to learn or (most likely) happy with the way things are because they benefit from it!
Romney was strong on economics and fairly knowledgeable in foreign policies, which I would expect, not being in the position to exercise his thoughts on the subject! Having had a more aggressive approach towards Obama, wouldn't have hurt either!
Obama was fairly strong on foreign policy and is in the position to exercise his beliefs on how he should conduct foreign affairs but, I know I haven't been impressed- makes us appear weak and could cost us later on! On his economic policies, I think his policies speak for themselves! 'Nuff said there!
BTW:
Did anyone else notice that whenever Romney was speaking, Obama's posture, more often than not, was hunched over staring at Romney, like the proverbial knives were shooting at Romney from Obama's eyes and both hands were fists, resting on the table? It was like Obama's mind switched to hate mode, until Romney was done speaking. Weird!
All in all, the people will have their chance to decide (well... appear to decide), if Obama remains in office or not! I can say that our country needs to get back on track with an economically strong, productive society we used to be! Countries that don't like us, understand power. Sooo... whomever is chosen- it better be right this time!!

Both did a fabulous job of dancing around issues without giving direct answers.
I'm going to write in Mickey Mouse for President. Or maybe Daffy Duck, OH! I know! Bugs Bunny!!!! He's very presidential.

Bugs Bunny!!!! He's very presidential. Well yeah but then... that "cwazy wabbit" will have to deal with his nemesis most of the time so, nothing will get done with those two either!

Personally I think Mitt Romney will say anything to get elected. Period. He went to the far right in the Primaries and the first part of his campaign then when he figured out that was not going to get him elected he swung towards the middle. He spent most of the night agreeing with Obama on everything. If he cannot stick to a policy now, he is not going to stick to a policy later on if he wants a second term. I trust him and Ryan about as far as I ca throw a house. What I am concerned about is a congress that has not done a damn thing since they were put in office in 2010. They make policy and what I have seen so far is just trying to put the president out of office. They have not made that a secret. When you refuse to work with the senate and whoever is in charge in the oval office then it is time for you to go I do not care which party you belong to. Everyone is so caught up in who is going to be president I am afraid they are not paying enough attention to who they put in the house. The best bet would be a house full of moderates who are not batshit crazy. Then something might get done. And all this grandstanding by members of congress and the filibusters on every bill that comes up even the ones they help write needs to stop now. Personally I think it should be limited as to how many times you can do that during your term in office. Some of them are abusing the privilege. Just my take on the election.

I thought the debate last night was pretty much a draw with Obama lying a number of times again, while being petty, and ignorant looking like a man child getting mad. I had wished that Romney wouldn't have been to passive on a few things during the debate last night, but his strategy is to now win over the undecided voters. Hopefully it will work in Romney's favor. We should start seeing the effects of this lastest debate in the polls as early as Thursday.

Actually the polls run about a week behind so it will be interesting to see what they say next Monday. Romney was doing his usual fish on the bank imitation and flip flopping all over the place again. Always interesting to see which Mitt Romney shows up.

No, Rhonda. While some polls may run a week behind, other pollsters will have it 3-4 days later in some of their polls.

The url button isn't working for me.
The link I provided is a long list of flip flops that Obama has done. I hope you have a lot of time to read them all.

I have video of Romney's flip flops. I can and will drag them out if I have to. All I am saying is he needs to decide if he is left right or somewhere in the middle and stick with it. He is having a hard time remembering what his policies were yesterday let alone a month ago. To get a true sense of where the polls are you need ALL the polls not just the ones who agree with what you want to hear and that takes about a week to compile.

Hey, you're the one that started accusing Romney of flip flops, and I was more than happy to provide a whole list of Obama's flip flops. To be hypocritical on your part between both men is not helping your argument. Enough with the rhetoric already!

I agree with that comment. As long as there are a significant number of extremist kooks like hard core liberals on one side and tea party nuts on the other you will have gridlock
Romney is out of his league on foreign affairs and lost that debate handily. I think that Romney knows that and that is why he frequently went off topic circled back to the econmy. It didn't look like he had done his homework.

9 Romney Advisers You Need to Know About
Want to know what a Romney presidency would look like? Check out these guys' records.
—By Dana Liebelson and Adam Serwer | Wed Oct. 24, 2012 3:03 AM PDT 52
One way to understand what a presidential candidate might do if elected is to look at his advisers.
Here are nine advisers who are shaping Mitt Romney's views—and could end up shaping his presidency. You may not have heard of them, but you should know about them.
Cofer "head on dry ice" Black
Position: Foreign Policy Adviser
His Qualifications: Black was head of the CIA's Counterterrorism Center when Al Qaeda brought down the towers and is a former executive for the "private security" company Blackwater.
What You Need to Know: Black has long been associated with the Bush administration’s "dark side," including torture and extraordinary rendition. He's also a fan of colorful speech, having said that he wanted to "Capture Bin Laden, kill him, and bring his head back in a box on dry ice." That didn't happen, but a 2005 CIA inspector general's report did chastise the CTC for not sharing information with other agencies that could have lead to the discovery of the 9/11 plot before it occurred.
The other eight Be sure to check the links in their bios http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/10/mitt-romney-administration-top-advisers

First off, they finally got the camera's right. On #2, ABC would split screen a nice pic of Obama while Romney was talking and hardly keep Romney on screen at that. When Obama was talking, he got full screen with a mini figure in the background of Romney.
Second, the moderator did a much better job of controlling who talked and when. #1 got totally out of hand.
Third, it's a sad commentary on the mentality of voters when they feel Obama won because he "zinged" Romney by telling him we have fewer horses and bayonettes!?!? I find comments like that disrespectful and WAY beneath the highest office in America.
As for comments on Romney not being sharp on foreign policy.... Obama didn't know squat 4 years ago either. That's what advisors are for.
4 years ago, Obama was all about "change". Well, not much HAS changed so it's time to give someone else a turn and throw him out in 4 years if he doesn't do any better.
Slightly off topic, Voter ID laws are NOT about trying to keep blacks from voting, as the Democrats would have you believe. It's about keeping ILLEGAL aliens from voting. It's crazy that everyone is now required under Obamacare to have health insurance, but not everyone is required to prove that they are actually a US Citizen.
