Falling, falling, falling......

Ever have those dreams where you're falling, and just before the "SPLAT" jerk awake? I've always wondered what would happen if I just kept sleeping to the end of that dream. Would I go "splat", or "bounce"? Would it "hurt"? Well, I don't know, I've had vivid dreams of being injured, yet, not "feeling" it. Dreams are so mysterious, aren't they?

Anyway, a co-worker/friend yesterday went sky diving for the first time. He's the best man in his friend's wedding, and the groom thought it would be a grand kick off for the bachelor party for the guys in the wedding party to sky dive. Only, the groom is the only one in the wedding party with the experience, and, my friend is afraid of heights. He told us there will be a 3 hour training seminar before the jump, and that everyone would be taking a breathalyzer before being allowed to jump. Oh yeah, I would tease him that I was going to sit at the airport so I could listen to him scream all the way down. Believe me, he's one of those impish, devilish, smart asses at work..hard to be mad at him because he's too damned silly. I told him I wanted to see him "bounce" and he asked I told him it would be better than seeing him "splat". He got a laugh out of that. I did tell him he needs someone to video tape this and post it on Facebook so that those of us who had to work can see how he did. He hasn't yet, I figure he's sleeping in because the bachelor party would begin after the "jump". And there has been no phone calls of anything going wrong, so I'm figuring he did fine. Probably screamed all the way down knowing him. And, I'll see him at work over the weekend, where I'm sure he will have us rolling with laughter with his telling of it all.

I can say this for certainty....I wouldn't care if it were paid for already...there is absolutely NO WAY IN HELL anyone is going to convince me to jump out of a perfectly safe airplane! Not afraid of heights at all...just don't see any sense in jumping out of a plane if I don't have to.

Over the years, I have had frequent dreams of losing my teeth. Quite upsetting actually.

I have had a few falling dreams too, but wake up before I hit the ground.

It's funny the things we all dream, and what possible meanings they have.

I would never go skydiving as I see no practical reason to jump out of a perfectly good plane.

I don't know of anyone who has ever dreamed of the part where they hit the ground in a dream. Wonder what the results would be if they did? As for dream's meanings sometimes a dream is just a dream or that second helping of something you had for dinner. Other times it is your brain making sense of problems.

My daughter has had dreams where she dies like getting her head chopped off. I am not kidding or BSing either. After her killing things fade to red to black and she sleeps on. I never really have anything bad happen to me in mine very often.
