A little early, but still I'm always interested in knowing the Reds future schedule no matter what.
Since the Houston Astros are moving to the American League west after this season, which will leave 5 teams now in the National League central, the Reds will play 19 games each with our central division rivals now beginning next year. I'm pretty sure all teams will be playing their division rivals 19 times as well.
There will also be continuous interleague play throughout the entire baseball season instead of only in June and July. This is because each league will have 15 teams each which is an unbalance schedule which leads to the continuous interleague play all season long.
What's also interesting is that my Reds will be opening at home as usual, but against an Americal League team, the Los Angeles (California, Anaheim) Angels.
My Reds will be playing all the American League west teams in 2013. 3 games against Texas in Texas, and 3 against Houston in Houston. My Reds will play 2 games in Oakland, with Oakland playing 2 in Cincinnati. Seattle will play 3 against my Reds in Seattle.
The home opening is one of the earliest dates, which is set for April 1. My Reds have opened their season on April 1 before one other time, and I think that was back in the 90's.
As for the All-Star game, it seems like it's been pushed back a week to July 16. I have seen these games start usually a week before then.
On another note, my Reds are doing quite well, as we're 29 games over .500 at 86-57, and in first place. Hoping for a win tonight against Pittsburgh. We just scored and are now up 2-1.
My question to you baseball fans is, what 8 teams do you think, or would like to see in the playoffs?
What 2 teams would you like to see face off in the World Series?
I would like to see my Reds face either Oakland, New York Yankees, Texas, or even the Los Angeles Angels. Who do I think will be the 4 teams in the N.L.? My Reds, S.F., Washington, and the wildcard being St. Louis after they beat Atland for it.
The 4 A.L. teams I think will be in it will be New York Yankees, ChiSox, Texas, and Baltimore, with Baltimore winning the wildcard over Detroit (sorry, Dawn )
I think Texas and the New York Yankees have the best shot at making the World Series over all the other teams in the A.L., as does my Cincinnati Reds and Washington over the other teams in the N.L.

Nothing to say about your Bengals? Oh what an embarassment on Monday night against the Ravens. You touted them in the preseason but not a word after their first real game.....LOL>>>>>>

You touted them in the preseason but not a word after their first real game.....LOL>>>>>> First off, I stated about my Bengals that I didn't know what to expect from them this year. After watching their dismal play Monday night, I think we'll be lucky to end up winning at least 5 games this year. But hey, one game won't break a team, so....and for some reason, odds have it that my Bengals are favorite to win by 8 over Cleveland Sunday, so we'll see....
Secondly, this blog is about baseball and the World Series. Stay on topic!

Btw, little miss punky, I wrote over on my FB monday night on how bad my Bengals stunk it up and had their asses handed to them on a silver platter. Many of my friends saw that, including a member here in Pervia that's on my FB. You may actually know her as she goes by Sugar on Pervia. She can tell you how I ripped my Bengals over there that night.
And on another note, my Reds just won. 30 games over .500, 87-57 recored, and 8 is the magic number on clinching our division!
Annndddd, how many profiles to you have on here, Punky? Why do you feel like you have to have more than one on here in Pervia? Perhaps to go trolling?

Yeah Shawn, you were pretty pissed off about your Bengals. But hey....it is only game. Remember that.
And yes, Shawn is a friend of mine, both here and on Facebook.

Punky, I see that you're from "Maryland", just like someone else that a lot of us know.
Anyway, Baltimore is a tough team, and will likely win around 12-13 games this season. Do I think your team is the best? I wouldn't go that far. But yes, your team appears to be a hell a lot more superior than my Bengals and other teams in the AFC this year. But you're also an aging team, so you guys will be needing to replace a few of your pros soon.
