She claims that it's Republicans that want to bring back Jim Crow laws, but forgets that it was her party that wrote them.

I see a lot of jokes about Obama and Romney on late night TV and unlike your cartoon most of them are funny Lets be real. The only time you would find any kind of political joke funny is if it were at the expense of Republicans.
Sadly, what we're seeing from your party is all too real...
Oh..same reason they aren't telling any Republican jokes. Says someone who claims to be down the middle of the road.

Oh woe is me... it is soooo lonely holding the position of nothing but contempt for politics and politicians!! But you know what? I'm greatly relieved of the burden of having to 'pick' a party and become yet another misinformed follower of that party- no matter what party it is!
I'm not criticizing anyone in particular for their political beliefs, that's their business not mine! It just amazes me that millions still side with one party or the other, knowing full well that neither can be trusted to do what's right for the citizens- politicians are in it for themselves... period! The elections? Merely the election of the lessor of the two evils! Both parties backed by 10s of millions of bucks funded by even more corrupt people.
So what are our elections... are they truly elections based on honest principals or are they business propositions by the immoral?? Can't be both ya know- knowing that the winner is usually preordained from the get go- (who has the most funds and makes the most promises).
If I hear something (rhetoric) I haven't heard before from any candidate(s) campaigning for an office(s) I listen for clues of what could be a problem down the road for the citizens and I try to plan accordingly to avoid a problem(s) for my family and myself. Otherwise, I have no interest in what any mealy mouthed politician "speaking with a forked tongue" has to say. Watch what they do, not what they say!!

Lets be real. The only time you would find any kind of political joke funny is if it were at the expense of Republicans. No, the late night jokes are widely distributed. I get grins out of barbs against each party actually. I realize that my opinion is just a grain of sand on a beach...no big deal. My vote is not much more.
However, to hijack the blog; Congrats to your Reds and my Rangers

Says someone who claims to be down the middle of the road. I'm more Independent actually. I vote based on the candidate I feel is the better option...I could really care less which party they are from.
Besides...I only posted that silly little joke to make it "fair and balanced".

relieved of the burden of having to 'pick' a party and become yet another misinformed follower of that party- no matter what party it is! I certainly don't see it that way, Som. I have my core beliefs that I am very proud of, and they so happen to match for the most part the Republican party platform. I'm willing to stand up for these beliefs. As for being a "puppet", nah. I realize people are not always going to be 100% on the same page with each other in any party, and I'm cool with that. However, I am what I am, a Reagan Conservative Republican, and very proud of that.
Unlike a lot of people today, politics have not made me cynical. I know that it can make a lot of people that way. All I do is stay true to myself.
Congrats to your Reds Thanks, Bruce. We had our asses handed to us Sunday by St. Louis, 8-2. But then we beat them 8-2 the day before. Hopefully we can stay on the track of winning after our win last night in Arizona, 3-2.

I certainly don't see it that way, Som. That's fine Straddle- that's your decision! Mine is to ignore what politicians have to say and substitute my own beliefs of who I want controlling my life (that would be me). Politics is about disinformation- it's just that the political followers on either side of the fence either refuse or can't grasp that concept... yet! And so it goes, year after year!

Best Answer to who started Jim Crow..
Before reading any of the following, it's important to note that the Democrat party of the 19th century was conservative, and resembles today's Republican party far more than it resembles today's Democrat party. This article is about a Democrat party that no longer exists.
The Ku Klux Klan was established after Southern Democrats lost the Civil War to the more Conservative Republican Party. They were thought of as the "militant arm" of the Democrat Party and sought to kill former Black slaves, Irish laborers, Asian laborers, & the more Conservative Republicans both white and black who freed them all. The late Senator Robert Byrd recruited for the KKK and was a Senator from West Virginia. The Republican Party was formed entirely on purpose to free slaves from the Democrat authorities. There was no Republican Party prior to the ending of slavery in America. Hence Republicans were the abolitionists.
And to add to that:
Our nation's top historians reveal that the Democratic Party gave us the Ku Klux Klan, Black Codes, Jim Crow Laws and other repressive legislation which resulted in the multitude of murders, lynchings, mutilations, and intimidation's (of thousands of black and white Republicans). On the issue of slavery: historians say the Democrats gave their lives to expand it, the Republicans gave their lives to ban it. "--The KKK was the terrorist wing of the Democrat Party.--"
