What it would be like if we all who come to the blogs regularly lived in the same town? Would we be the same there as we are here ? Me at first no it takes me time to size up some and warm up to speak as freely here as I do . Now i can chit chat with best over nothing . . I do have a tendency to pop off if someone gets on my last nerve . It seems even if we disagree we come to terms and pretty much are respectful to each other . So what do you think ? Would we give new meaning to the term Our Town

I'd gladly become a Gold member, if AMD were to send me a six pack or two each month!

The anonymity of the internet makes it possible for many people to exist here in pervia. In the real world, even in the corner bar, someone you funadmentally disagree with or think is a little creepy, or makes you uncomfortable, or has a personality that irritates you, will be avoided. In pervia it's much easier to tell someone to take a flying leap, or ignore them and move on to the next blog. But there is no need to avoid the place.

There is no stealth setting if you are a regular at either participate or you leave. Because it's always fun to go where everybody knows your Cheers there is always a face and a personality and a story attaached to every name. Here you never know. "Buffy" who sounds pretty and cute and a great personality could be "Burt", a 250lb construction worker living in his mother's basement who always just wanted to dance ballet.

I've loved Pervia over the years because it DOES have that component of annonymity and a "relationship" here can easily be terminated upon circumstances. But there always is the hope that the next visit you'll meet someone special. That you will reconnect with that someone fronm the past that you hoped to meet in person. That you will get a laugh out of the Whappers of the world who if real, have real issues, if fake, have incredible imaginations.

As I have over the years I will miss Pervia when I take a hiatus. For if I have to choose (and I will), I want to go where everyone knows my name...and my face.

(BTW...good blog...a greenie for you )
